  • Patent number: 12287209
Abstract: A system for moving an object within an environment, wherein the system includes at least one modular wheel configured to move the object. The modular wheel includes a body configured to be attached to the object, a wheel, a drive configured to rotate the wheel and a controller configured to control the drive. One or more processing devices configured are provided to receive an image stream including a plurality of captured images from each of a plurality of imaging devices, the plurality of imaging devices being configured to capture images of the object within the environment, analyse the images to determine an object location within the environment, generate control instructions at least in part using the determined object location and provide the control instructions to the controller, the controller being responsive to the control instructions to control the drive and thereby move the object.

  • Publication number: 20220057808
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inspection vehicle configured to inspect a confined space. The inspection vehicle includes an elongate rigid body including a planar upper surface and drive modules along either side of the body. Each drive module includes an endless track, an upper surface of the endless tracks is positioned below a height of the planar upper surface so that the planar upper surface engages an obstacle in preference to the endless tracks; front ones of the endless tracks project forwardly of the body so that the front endless tracks engage an obstacle in preference to the body; sensors around the inspection vehicle to sense the confined space; a communications module to provide sensor data to remote processing systems; and receive control signals; processing devices to control the drive modules to allow the inspection vehicle to traverse the confined space.

  • Patent number: 10845353
Abstract: A soil condition analysis system, including: a support platform to support an elongate soil core extracted from the Earth; a plurality of soil sensing components configured to measure corresponding characteristics of a soil core supported on the support platform; one or more data acquisition components in communication with the soil sensing components and configured to generate measurement data representing the measured characteristics from the soil sensing components; wherein at least one of the support platform and the plurality of soil sensing components is mounted on a computer-controlled translation stage to enable the soil sensing components to automatically measure the corresponding characteristics of the soil core at mutually spaced locations along a longitudinal axis of the elongate soil core.

  • Patent number: 10685548
Abstract: Guide systems for indicating a distance between a first object and a second object and a method for visually representing a distance between two objects as the distance reduces are provided. A sensor measures a distance between the first object and the second object. A processor receives a distance measurement from the sensor and determines whether the distance measured by the sensor is within one of a plurality of distance intervals. Upon determining that the distance is within one of the plurality of distance intervals, the processor displays a distance indicator on the display. The distance indicator is located on the display based on the distance according to a scale for the distance interval, where a display area on the display represents the distance interval. The scale for the distance intervals becomes finer as the distance between the first object and the second object decreases.
