  • Publication number: 20140001703
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for handling notes of value, comprising a supply module (1000) for supplying notes of value to a value note receiving region (1004) of a value note cassette (16a to 16d), wherein the notes of value are receivable in a value note receiving region (1004) in the form of a value note stack (1006). The supply module (1000) comprises at least one retaining element (1008, 1010), which, in a retaining position, contacts a front-side note of value of the value note stack (1006) and holds the value note stack (1006) in the value note receiving region (1004). In a supply position, the retaining element (1008, 1010) is arranged such that a note of value is suppliable to the value note stack (1006).

  • Publication number: 20140001104
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for handling notes of value, comprising a sensor unit (300) for detection of at least one feature of each note of value, and a control unit (28) which classifies the notes of value into accepted notes of value and sheet-shaped media to be returned, dependent on the feature to be detected by the sensor unit (300). A sorting gate (400) is arranged downstream the sensor unit (300), wherein the control unit (28) controls the sorting gate (400) to supply notes of value classified as accepted notes of value to a first intermediate storage (32), and notes of value classified as sheet-shaped media to be returned to a second intermediate storage (500).

  • Publication number: 20130341850
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for separating a stack of notes of value, in which the stack of notes of value is arranged in a separating position. Subsequently, a withdrawal element is driven such that it transports at least one marginal note of value of the stack of notes of value in a separating direction in the direction of a separating gap formed between a transport element and a counter run element. Also the transport element is driven such that it transports the note of value further in the separating direction. By means of a sensor unit arranged downstream of the separating gap the number of the notes of value withdrawn and transported through the separating gap is determined. The withdrawal element, the transport element and/or the counter run element are controlled depending on this determined number of notes of value withdrawn.

  • Publication number: 20130334770
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (10) for handling notes of value comprising a transport unit (24, 26) for transport of the notes of value in a transport direction (P2) along a transport path (602) and an aligning unit (600) for alignment of the notes of value. Further, the device (10) comprises a sensor (300) arranged upstream of the aligning unit (600) for determining at least one feature of the notes of value, and a control unit (28) that controls the aligning unit (600) such that the aligning unit (600) aligns each note of value depending on the determined expression of the feature of the note of value in a preset first target alignment or at least in a preset second target alignment that is different from the first target alignment.

  • Patent number: 8505912
Abstract: A device for aligning a sheet, such as a banknote. The device includes a support area on which at least one sheet to be aligned is supported. The device further includes a first aligning element and a second aligning element. The second aligning element is movable towards and away from the first aligning element. To align the sheet, the second aligning element is moved towards the first aligning element with a drive unit. A sensor is included that detects presence of the sheet in a detection area of the sensor. The drive unit is configured to move the second aligning element based on whether the sensor detects presence of the sheet.

  • Publication number: 20120211935
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (100) for aligning sheet-shaped media (150). The device (100) has a support area (104) on which the at least one sheet-shaped medium (150) to be aligned is supported, a first aligning element (116) and a second aligning element (118) movable in the direction of the first aligning element (116) and opposite to this direction. For aligning the sheet-shaped medium (150), the second aligning element (118) is moved in the direction of the first aligning element (116) by means of a drive unit. Further, a sensor (120 to 126) is provided for detecting a sheet-shaped medium (150) in its detection area (144), the drive unit moving the second aligning element (118) dependent on the detected presence.
