  • Publication number: 20200022520
Abstract: A mail delivery assistance system comprises a letterbox for receiving mail consignments that has an opening and an electronic locking mechanism, a data processing device that comprises a database having an address file in which a respective addressee is associated with a building address, and a reader for capturing mail consignment data of a mail consignment. The reader, during operation, is communicatively connected to the data processing device in order to send the mail consignment data to the data processing device. The data processing device checks whether the mail consignment data match an addressee in the address file, and, if this is the case, generates a control signal for the locking mechanism in order to open the opening and to allow delivery of the mail consignment.

  • Patent number: 10521992
Abstract: The present invention proposes a method for providing a visitor controlled access into a building. Initially, entrance identification information is provided to a mobile device of the visitor when the mobile device is in close proximity of an entrance of the building. The mobile device then sends the entrance identification information to a remote server. In response the server sends back a list of residents of the building to the mobile device based on the entrance identification information, and the mobile device presents the list of residents to the visitor. The visitor then selects a resident from the list, and subsequently a link is established between the mobile device and a remote device associated with the selected resident. Finally, access grant information is provided to an access control means adapted to control access of the visitor into the building via the entrance.

  • Publication number: 20190371101
Abstract: A mobile electronic device receives a data signal with a lock identifier and a lock state designator when it is in radio range of the electronic lock. The mobile device generates a server message which comprises the lock identifier, the lock state designator and a device identifier. The mobile electronic device sends the server message to the data processing device which stores a state of the electronic lock based on an evaluation of the lock state designator. The data processing device generates a confirmation message which contains an electronic code to activate the electronic lock when the electronic lock is in an inactive state and the device identifier in the user file is assigned to the lock identifier and which contains a user message when the electronic lock is in the active state or the user has no access authorization to the access-restricted zone assigned to the electronic lock.

  • Patent number: 10486941
Abstract: A lift system for moving a car along a track in a guided manner. The lift system having a guide rail system, a car and a drive unit arranged on the car. The guide rail system forms a closed track along which the car can be moved between floors when in operation. The drive unit has a motor, a gear wheel system connected to the motor by a shaft and a guide disk. The guide rail system has a pinion system and guide edges spaced apart from one another, which cooperate with the guide disk. When in operation, the motor drives the gear wheel system and the gear wheel system acts on the pinion system in order to move the car along the track in a guided manner.

  • Patent number: 10163288
Abstract: To control access to a predetermined service or area, a system receives an activation signal indicative of a user's activation of an access code. As a result of receiving the activation signal, the system sends a verification code to a portable electronic device of the user. An access terminal receives the verification code. Access to the predetermined service or area is granted if the verification code is received at the access terminal meeting one of several predetermined conditions. One condition requires that the verification code is provided to the access terminal within a limited validity time.

  • Publication number: 20180362296
Abstract: A lift system for protecting the privacy of passengers. The lift system having a lift car that can be moved between floors of a building. The lift car having a video camera arranged in the lift car. The video camera being a part of a video system that also includes a video monitor for displaying information relating to the interior of the lift car. A video control device is communicatively connected to and controls the video system in a selective manner according to one of several operating modes. The several operating modes include a first operating mode in which the video system is deactivated or activation is blocked, so that the video system remains in an inactive state, if a passenger asks for the video system to be deactivated. When in the first operating mode the video system remains in the inactive state for as long as the passenger is in the lift car.

  • Patent number: 10043325
Abstract: An access control system detects movement at a door to which a user has been granted access. A travel time is determined that describes how long the user is expected to need to travel between that door and another door in the area. After the travel time has elapsed, the other door is unlocked. Thus, the user can travel to and open the other door without having to present a credential for the other door.

  • Publication number: 20180162688
Abstract: A destination call, as an example of an action, is automatically generated in an elevator system when detected current connection data correspond to a stored behavior pattern for the usage of the elevator system. A communicative link between a sensor in a sensor system that comprises a multitude of sensors and the mobile electronic device of a passenger is detected, and connection data about the communicative link are recorded. The connection data are compared with data stored in a memory device containing at least one behavior pattern in order to determine whether the connection data correspond to a stored behavior pattern.
