  • Patent number: 8917164
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a method for identification of components in an electrical low-voltage switchgear assembly is disclosed. The electrical low-voltage switchgear assembly according to one embodiment of the invention includes at least one truck module, which can be positioned in a truck slot. In at least one embodiment, both the truck slot and the truck module include associated devices for wire-free communication, wherein the communication devices are designed to transmit and/or receive data which is relevant for an automatic identification of the truck slot and/or the truck module, and allow automatic association of these components with one another.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 24, 2008
Date of Patent: December 23, 2014
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 6522937
Abstract: Operating values of an electronic operating system, e.g., power switch or motor drive, are parameterized with a hand-held control device with a display device for displaying operating parameters via transmission arrangement, to a data store of the hand-held control device following connection of the latter to the operating system (2). A microprocessor circuit (25) in the hand-held control device facilitates the detection of altered operating parameters and the transfer of those altered parameters back to the control unit of the operating system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 26, 1999
Date of Patent: February 18, 2003
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft

  • Patent number: 6504358
Abstract: In order to detect a motor temperature during operation of a motor without using any sensors, the motor temperature is determined when the motor is switched on by measuring a current and a voltage at the time when the motor is switched on. The motor temperature can be determined by relationships by determining the real element of the motor impedance from the current and voltage signals, and comparing the values when the motor is stationary and values which have been obtained at a known temperature. The determination can be carried out in analog or digital form, with a computer being used in the latter case.

  • Publication number: 20020183871
Abstract: Operating values of an electronic operating system (2), e.g., power switch or motor drive, are parameterized with a hand-held control device (6) with a display device (10) for displaying operating parameters via transmission means (5) to a data store (31) of the hand-held control device (6) following connection of the latter to the operating system (2). A microprocessor circuit (25) in the hand-held control device (6) facilitates the detection of altered operating parameters and the transfer of those altered parameters back to the control unit (3) of the operating system (2).
