    Abstract: A head-mounted display may include a display system and an optical system in a housing. The display system may have displays that produce images. Positioners may be used to move the displays relative to the eye positions of a user's eyes. An adjustable optical system may include tunable lenses such as tunable cylindrical liquid crystal lenses. The displays may be viewed through the lenses when the user's eyes are at the eye positions. A sensor may be incorporated into the head-mounted display to measure refractive errors in the user's eyes. The sensor may include waveguides and volume holograms, and a camera for gathering light that has reflected from the retinas of the user's eyes. Viewing comfort may be enhanced by adjusting display positions relative to the eye positions and/or by adjusting lens settings based on the content being presented on the display and/or measured refractive errors.

    Abstract: Disclosed are methods for dehydrogenation of alkanes into alkenes in reactor systems of improved resistance to carburization under dehydrogenation conditions. The reactor walls are provided with a carburization and abrasion resistant protective layer by applying a metal plating, cladding or other coatings, such as painting, of a metal, such as Sb, As, Bi, Cu, Cr, Ga, Ge, In, Pb, Se, Te, Sn, particularly tin as a stannide layer, for forming a carburation resistant protective layer to a thickness of about 0.5 to 15 mils, effective to isolate the steel portion from hydrocarbons during the dehydrogenation process while avoiding any substantial liquid metal embrittlement. The protective layer is formed anchored to the steel portion through an intermediate carbide-rich bonding layer.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for improving the testability of six cell CMOS SRAM circuits. The technique involves adding transistors and the ability to effectively disable the precharge circuitry during the test mode. This makes the pull up transistors the only current source for switching the memory cell. An open or weak pull up transistor, which would appear as an intermittent soft failure under operational conditions because of the current sourcing of the precharge circuitry, becomes a hard stuck-at failure under the test conditions. Because the precharge circuitry is disabled for all memory cells, a slower memory clock speed is used for memory cycling during the test mode.
