  • Patent number: 6786318
Abstract: A transfer apparatus for permitting ease of movement of a workpiece across an operating surface of a table where the table includes a plurality of slots. Mounted within each slot is a rail member. Mounted within each rail member is a plurality of rolling members. The rail member is to be vertically movable within its respective slot so as to have the rolling members be totally confined within the rail member or have the rolling members protrude from the upper surface of the rail member. The rail member includes a plurality of pistons which are mounted within cylinders. Air pressure is to be supplied to each of the cylinders which is to cause the rail member to be moved vertically in an upward direction and cause the rolling members to protrude above the working surface of the table so that a workpiece can be completely supported by the rolling members and be spaced from the working surface of the table.

  • Patent number: 5692851
Abstract: A connector for an elongated member which is composed of a male part and a female part. The female part is fixedly mounted onto an end of an elongated member with the male part being fixed onto a separate structure or vice versa. The male part includes a fluid operated piston which is to be supplied fluid pressure from a remote source. Axially pressing of the female member in contact with the male member will result in the connector being located in a locked relationship. Application of fluid pressure from the remote source will cause the connector to move to an unlocked relationship permitting locating of the female part in a spaced apart relationship from the male part.

  • Patent number: 5383777
Abstract: A powered clamp for holding mold parts to a platen. The platen has a surface with a mounting slot. The clamp includes a base plate to bear against the platen surface. A pivot bolt with a T-head fits in the slot and is held against tilting relative to the base plate. A pivot nut is threaded to the pivot bolt. A clamping bar passes the pivot bolt. The pivot bolt and clamping bar carry bearing surfaces that enable the clamping bar to tilt relative to the pivot bolt. A bias spring bases the bearing surfaces together. A hydraulic piston-cylinder assembly is mounted to the clamping bar, with a piston rod that extends toward the base plate, and has an external thread. A lock ring is threaded to the piston rod to lock the piston rod against retraction while it is in its extended position.

  • Patent number: 5096405
Abstract: A mounting plate attachable to a molding machine platen has a plurality of retention slots. A plurality of hydraulically-actuated clamps have heads in respective retention slots. Each clamp includes a piston and a cylinder, and a clamping ring adjustably positionable along the cylinder. Actuation of the clamp causes a mold part to be pressed toward the platen to hold it in an adjusted position.

  • Patent number: 4750723
Abstract: An adjustable device for supporting workpieces having two sets of relatively movable interleaved friction plates, one set attached to and movable with a work supporting plunger, the other being relatively stationary with respect to the plunger. The plunger and associated plates are moved into work supporting engagement by air pressure; the two sets of plates being clamped together by a hydraulic piston operated at right angles to the plates, to hold the plunger in the desired work supporting position of adjustment until the sets of plates are unclamped.
