  • Patent number: 11906415
Abstract: Embodiments of a sensor device, method and system employ one or more particle detection sensors to collect particle measurement values in a plurality of particle bins collecting particles of different sizes, generate a histogram representing the particle measurement values and determine based on a comparison of the histogram with a profile histogram for a pollutant, a match quality indicative of whether the pollutant is present in the environment. In various embodiments, a location of a pollutant is also determined according to the determined match quality.

  • Patent number: 11468761
Abstract: A sensor device, system and method can generate a profile of one or more detected substances in an environment, receive monitoring data from one or more of a group of sensors, and assess whether a heat-not-burn device activity event has been detected. In various embodiments, the sensor device includes a particle detection sensor and a gas detection sensor and a profile for heat-not-burn device activity is established with a threshold of detected particles and/or gases. In various embodiments, the profile for heat-not-burn activity is established with a threshold of gases that is not to be met or exceeded in order to generate a positive heat-not-burn detection.

  • Publication number: 20160240057
Abstract: Disclosed are a system and method for providing alerts regarding occupancy conditions. At least one analog motion detection sensor detects occupancy and/or behavior, at least one microwave motion detection sensor detects occupancy and/or behavior; and at least one sound microphone detects at least one audio frequency associated with an audio source. Motion detection information associated with occupancy and/or behavior detected by analog motion detection sensor(s) and microwave motion detection sensor(s), and audio detection information is received, and processed to determine an occupancy and/or behavior condition. The determined occupancy and/or behavior condition is compared to a baseline occupancy and/or baseline condition to establish a status of the determined occupancy and/or behavior condition. An alert is generated that represents a condition associated with the status, and is output.

  • Publication number: 20060009940
Abstract: A railroad signal system interlocking is automatically tested. A control point interface corresponding to a predetermined function of the interlocking has an isolated section and a control section. The isolated section is connected with the interlocking and has a normal, inactivated state during operation of the interlocking, and an activated state for testing the interlocking by detecting an electrical characteristic representing the status of the predetermined function executed by the interlocking. The control section drives the isolated section to its activated state and receiving an output from the isolated section in response to the detected electrical characteristic, and delivers a status report.
