    Abstract: The disclosure relates to methods, systems, and apparatus for providing a notification of a message in a health care environment. A message from a source and location information associated with a plurality of patients may be received. The location information associated with the plurality of patients and a notification of the message from the source may be output in a geospatial arrangement via a graphical user interface. The graphical user interface may be updated when a change occurs in either the location information associated with at least one of the plurality of patients or the status of the message from the source. In addition, a user query for the location information associated with each of the plurality of patients receiving care from a physician in the health care environment may be received and output in the geospatial arrangement via the graphical interface.

One embodiment of the invention includes a method for providing a message notification associated with care of a patient in a health care environment, comprising: receiving a message from a source; receiving location information associated with a patient. The method also includes outputting in a geospatial arrangement via a graphical user interface the location information associated with the patient, and a notification of a message from the source. In addition, the method includes updating the graphical user interface when a change occurs in either the location information associated with the patient or status of the message from the source.
