Patent number: 9145995Abstract: Adapter (3) for connecting a receptacle connector to a connection socket of a dialysis machine, each provided with two fluid lines, whose ends are concentric on the connector and non-concentric and distant from each other on the socket. The adapter (3) has concentric first (301) and second (302) adapter ribs, the first forming a circular chamber open towards the outside, in the bottom of which a first orifice is produced, while the second forms an annular chamber open towards the outside, in the bottom of which a second orifice is produced. The adapter also has first and second connection channels (306, 307) isolated from each other, in which the first and second orifices coming from the first and second annular chambers open out. Each channel (306, 307) includes a connecting piece (308, 309) consisting of a circular tube, for introduction into the reception elements of the coupling socket (2).Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2010Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignee: FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE DEUTSCHLANDInventors: Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay, Bruno Faye

Patent number: 8882737Abstract: A self standing bag having two side wall sheets and a bottom sheet. To flatten the bag, the bottom sheet is sandwiched between the two side wall sheets and symmetrically folded along a line parallel to its bottom edge, separating the bag into a four-layer part and a two-layer part. In the two-layer part, the bag includes first sloped sealing lines extending between a first two points on the top edges of the side wall sheets and spaced from the vertical side wall edges by a first distance, to a second two points spaced from the vertical edges of the side wall sheets by a second distance less than the first distance. The four-layer part includes second sloped sealing lines extending between the second two points and a third two points on the bottom edges of the side wall sheets.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2012Date of Patent: November 11, 2014Assignee: Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbHInventors: Thomas Graf, Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay, Francois Dumont D'Ayot, Pascal Lengrand, Bertrand Thibault

Patent number: 8813769Abstract: A device for putting in solution a powdery concentrate includes a liquid supply pipe (10), an extraction pipe (30) with a valve (31), and a transfer pipe (40) connected to a junction point, the transfer pipe being for connecting to a receptacle (50) containing the concentrate. The junction point is in the constriction of a venturi tube (20), the supply pipe (10) being connected to the convergent chamber (21) and the extraction pipe (30) to the divergent chamber (22). If the valve (31) is closed, the liquid leaves the venturi tube through the vacuum tapping to enter the receptacle. When the valve (31) is opened, the liquid leaves the venturi tube through the divergence chamber, causing a pressure drop in the vacuum tapping. The saturated liquid contained in the receptacle is then sucked and entrained by the liquid passing through the venturi.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2010Date of Patent: August 26, 2014Assignee: Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbHInventors: Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay, Benoit Luaire

Patent number: 8678224Abstract: An insert for a receptacle intended to contain a concentrated product in solid or liquid form includes a main part (1) formed by a base (2) extended on the edge by a wall (3) perpendicular to the base, with an opening (4) formed in the base. A receptacle with such an insert is also provided. In order to enable emptying the receptacle entirely without leaving dead spaces in which the products to be solubilized may accumulate, the face of the base (2) intended to be in the receptacle after assembly is concave at the opening, so that the opening is at the bottom of a trough (6). This avoids corners in which the liquid would not circulate sufficiently, and prevents solid product from accumulating elsewhere than in the trough, so that it is always subjected to the flow of liquid.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2010Date of Patent: March 25, 2014Assignee: Fresenius Medical Care Deutschland GmbHInventors: Francois Dumont D'Ayot, Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay

Publication number: 20120068455Abstract: Adapter (3) for connecting a receptacle connector to a connection socket of a dialysis machine, the connector being provided with two fluid lines connecting the inside and outside of the receptacle, the ends of which, open towards the outside, are concentric, the connection socket of the dialysis machine being provided with two fluid lines, the ends of which, open towards the outside, are non-concentric and distant from each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2010Publication date: March 22, 2012Applicant: FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE DEUTSCHLAND GMBHInventors: Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay, Bruno Faye

Publication number: 20120067898Abstract: The invention concerns an insert for a receptacle that is to contain a concentrated product in solid or liquid form, comprising a main part (1) formed by a base (2) extended on the edge by a wall (3) perpendicular to the base, an opening (4) being produced in the base. The invention also concerns a receptacle provided with an insert according to the invention. The objective of the invention is to develop an insert that enables the receptacle to be emptied entirely without leaving dead spaces in which the products to be solubilised may accumulate. This objective is achieved in accordance with the invention because the face of the base (2) intended to be situated in the receptacle after assembly, the so-called internal face, is concave at the opening so that the latter is situated at the bottom of a trough (6). In this way the formation of corners in which the liquid does not circulate, or does not circulate sufficiently, is avoided.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2010Publication date: March 22, 2012Applicant: FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE DEUTSCHLAND GMBHInventors: Francois Dumont D' Ayot, Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay

Publication number: 20100016825Abstract: The invention relates to the field of containers for providing liquid dialysate concentrates for a dialysis treatment of a patient with the aid of an artificial kidney. Up to now such concentrates have been delivered mainly in rigid plastic containers as the weight of the concentrate requires a certain stability of the container. Such containers also simplify the shipping of large loads as they can easily be arranged in layers on top of each other. These rigid containers have the disadvantage that because of their rigidity they are comparatively expensive as the container walls have to be thick enough leading to higher material expenses. Furthermore, the empty containers are bulky making the further processing cumbersome. The large amount of material to be recycled or discarded adds further to the cost. The invention avoids these drawbacks by proposing a container filled with a liquid dialysate concentrate that is a self-standing bag (1) made of flexible elastomeric sheets.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 1, 2007Publication date: January 21, 2010Inventors: Thomas Graf, Paul Gastauer, Philippe Laffay, Francois Dumont D'Ayot, Pascal Lengrand, Bertrand Thibault
