  • Publication number: 20090050576
Abstract: A method is provided for adjusting the chlorine concentration in salt water swimming pools having a pre-existing system for re-circulating the water including at least one skimmer, a pump, a chlorine generator for generating chlorine from chloride salts, a monitor for determining the chlorine concentration of the water, and an outlet for returning water to the pool.

  • Patent number: 6592250
Abstract: An improved waste treatment chamber which comprises a first substantially, cylindrically shaped chamber portion, a first tapered end portion and a second tapered end portion, the cylindrical body and first and second end portions further comprising a plurality of components which may be transported individually and assembled to one another via bolting or the like so as to define an enclosed treatment chamber therewith, the assembled chamber mountable on bearings for rotation during the treatment process. Further, there is provided an improved container opening for placing waste therein or removing waste therefrom, which further comprises a rotatable locking system so that when the lid is in the open position, the lid is rotated and locked in place along the wall of the chamber to provide the necessary opening to avoid the lid from being loosely connected to the chamber during disposal of the waste therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5492407
Abstract: An improved heating chamber for wastes, of the type utilized to subject the wastes within the chamber to steam, the chamber comprising a substantially cylindrical body portion, having a continuous sidewall, and first and second end portions, and defining a waste receiving space therewithin. The chamber is provided with a steam inlet line for allowing steam to be injected into the chamber, and a water outlet line for removing water from the chamber through vacuum or the like; there is further provided a base for allowing the chamber to rotate during the cleaning process. The chamber provides a hinged lid along the wall, for allowing wastes to be placed within the chamber and removed therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5253764
Abstract: A system for treating household municipal wastes, and recovering recyclable materials from the waste stream. The process includes feeding the substantially solid waste stream, comprising generally paper or pulp material, glass, metal, plastics, and other solid wastes, into a first vessel, containing heated water; rotating the vessel to intermix the solid wastes with the water under a predetermined pressure; subjecting the vessel containing the wetted materials to a vacuum so as to achieve a desired moisture content to the pulp materials preferably between 20 to 30%; conveying the materials from the vessel to be separated into component parts; providing a second treatment vessel for receiving the material in alternate use; cycling the water from the first vessel into the second vessel so that the water in the system is in a closed loop system; and routing the removed pulp material containing 20 to 25% moisture for further use or disposal.
