  • Patent number: 5800072
Abstract: A bearing arrangement, designed in an X-configuration for a planet gear is provided with two angular roller bearings mounted a certain distance apart. Barrel-shaped needles have a large radius of curvature and their length is considerably greater than their diameter. Raceways of the two angular roller bearings have a circular curvature, center of which is located in the radial direction, outside the raceway diameter and in the axial direction, between inner lateral surface and axial center of angular roller bearing in question. As a result, the bearing arrangement is able to pivot slightly even though its dimensions are very small and can also absorb axial loads.

  • Patent number: 5074680
Abstract: Pretensioned, two-row, angular-contact bearing, consisting of one-piece bearing rings with rolling elements between them, resting against flanges on at least one of the bearing rings, characterized in that the wall thickness of one bearing ring (1) is relatively small in comparison to its outer diameter, so that it can be elastically deformed in the radial direction.

  • Patent number: 4893948
Abstract: A device for mounting a bearing having an inner ring with a conical bore on a bearing seat having a conical clamping sleeve which, on the side of its large diameter, projects axially beyond the inner ring, comprising a spacer (12) positionable loosely on the end surface (13) of the inner ring (1) on the side of the clamping sleeve projection (A), the thickness of the spacer being less than that of the projection (A) in the preassembled state by an amount equal to the stroke (B) required to press in the clamping sleeve (9), the spacer thus limiting the distance (B) of the inward stroke.

  • Patent number: 4860605
Abstract: A device for producing an axial displacement of two opposing relatively rotatable thrust members having a plurality of conical rolling elements installed between the thrust members which roll on angled ramps hus change the distance between the thrust members, at least one of the thrust washers having a conical face; and a loose outside flange designed as a closed, flexible ring circumscribing the rollers which absorbs the radial forces proceeding from the loaded conical rollers and exerts a binding effect on the conical rollers.

  • Patent number: 4834560
Abstract: A plural ring bearing is comprised of at least outer and inner radially superimposed rolling bearings and has an intermediate ring common to the inner and outer bearings. The outer bearing comprises an inclined roller bearing with two rows of cylindrical rollers inclined with respect to one another and to the axis of the plural ring bearing. The inner bearing may have two rows of cylindrical or tapered rollers, and may additionally include a crossed roller bearing.

  • Patent number: 4749288
Abstract: A support for a rolling bearing is provided with an essentially annular transition region between sleeve-shaped portion and a flange connected thereto, the flange having a plurality of circumferentially distributed, axially extending mounting holes. The transition region has a concavely curved or linearly inclined profile. A substantially spherical base surface is provided axially of each mounting hole, the base surface connecting the rim of the hole with the inner surface of a substantially part-cylindrical recess in the transition region, the recess having a diameter greater than the hole diameter.
