  • Patent number: 8528916
Abstract: An infant seat mounted on a shopping cart permits an infant to be carried while avoiding interference with a nesting function of the shopping cart. The infant seat includes a mounting plate that can be fastened to the shopping cart at a gate that can pivot about an axis to permit the infant seat to pivot with the gate during shopping cart nesting. The infant seat can be mounted to the shopping cart at a desired mounting angle with the optional use of wedges that have particular angles of inclination. The combination of wedges can be used to produce a desired mounting angle for different types of shopping carts to which the infant seat is fastened. Mounting angle indicia can be provided on the infant seat to help determine a proper or desired mounting angle for the infant seat. A gauge to determine a proper or desired mounting angle can be used with the indicia to obtain the desired mounting angle.

  • Publication number: 20130084556
Abstract: A retail display provides a simulation of stacked, palletized goods. The display simulates stacked bulk goods in bulk with a fabric cover draped on a tubular frame, where graphics and/or designs are applied to the fabric cover to simulate images of goods or stacks of goods. The fabric cover can be secured to the frame, both of which can be secured separately or together to a pallet as a support. The fabric cover and frame can be implemented in various shapes and sizes to accommodate different pallet sizes while simulating stacked bulk goods. The display eliminates the risks involved in providing actual bulk goods in palletized form for marketing and promotion purposes. The fabric cover is provided with various features, such as wind slits or rain holes to permit the display to withstand various environmental conditions.

  • Publication number: 20120286485
Abstract: A cart for transporting large area objects provides a region that can support objects that have a large height and width relative to depth dimension, while accommodating more conventionally sized and shaped objects, such as might be found in a retail environment. A central leg divides the payload area of the cart into a large area object carrying portion and a region that is larger in dimension than the large area object region. The central leg is set back from a front edge of the cart, and includes a slanted upper portion to avoid interference with components of other like carts to permit the like carts to be nested. The cart permits relatively large area objects to be transported with relative ease, in addition to conventionally sized and shaped objects.

  • Patent number: 7725993
Abstract: A passive latch provided in a clasped buckle provides a clasping action with no active release. The passive latch is disengaged when the buckle parts are separated through application of a separation force. The separation force can be provided in part by a component of a pinching force applied to another latch mechanism to release the other latch mechanism. The buckle may include other child resistant features, and can be composed of impact modified nylon to resist loss of tolerances or deformation to contribute to maintaining the child resistant features.

  • Patent number: 7685685
Abstract: A seatbelt assembly with a buckle has male and female mating parts, in which the male part includes features to prevent disengagement operation by a child. The child resistant features include added ribs, webbing in the form of flanges or struts, or barbs or prongs that increase the difficulty for disengaging the buckle. The female part can have an arcuate outer surface to increase the overall durability of the buckle and resist damaging external forces or damaging misuse. The female part can also be provided with lateral shoulders to make the female part harder to withdraw and thus more child resistant. The seatbelt assembly with the child resistant buckle can be operated easily by an adult, while remaining secure from disengagement by a typical child.
