  • Patent number: 11719727
Abstract: A computing system obtains test data for a particle source. The test data was generated by the particle source when the particle source was caused to emit particles. The test data comprises a first set of measurements of a first type and a second set of measurements of a second type. The computing system applies a data agnostic predictive model to the test data. The data agnostic predictive model is generated without a parametric analysis of variables of the first type and variables of the second type. The data agnostic predictive model outputs, based upon the test data, a value that is indicative of whether or not the test data is abnormal. Based upon the value, the computing system outputs an indication that the particle source was operating sub-optimally when emitting the particles.

  • Patent number: 8234913
Abstract: The invention concerns a microscopic system with atomic force, comprising a probe tip placed on one end of a lever arm (2), oscillating means (1) adapted to oscillate said probe tip substantially based on the fundamental frequency of said lever arm, said system including control means (7) for controlling said oscillating means to vary the oscillation frequency of said tip based on a plurality of harmonics of said lever arm. The invention is characterized in that said control means comprise an input receiving a parameter representing an operating threshold of said system, to vary the oscillation frequency of said tip based on at least one harmonic of said lever arm when said signal corresponds to a state of said system higher than said operating threshold.

  • Patent number: 5828547
Abstract: A computer case having at least one 31/2" drive housing which can be removably mounted within the case. Each 31/2" drive housing has one or more (typically, two) channels. A 31/2" drive is slidably insertable within each channel. A plurality (normally, as many as four) 31/2 drive housings are removably mountable at different locations within the case via quick release connectors provided at different locations within the case. A "U" shaped mounting bracket captures each 31/2" drive. The bracket has two opposed legs, with one or more inwardly projecting pins on each leg. The pins slide into apertures located in the opposed sides of industry standard 31/2" drives. A one-piece backplane with quick release connectors is easily removed and replaced by adjacent a cutout provided in an outer wall of the case. A series of cutouts are provided in the backplane. Each cutout is positioned to align with a connector on a motherboard mounted in the case, when the backplane is in place adjacent the case outer wall cutout.

  • Patent number: 4344131
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for reducing access time to information contained in a memory system that includes a register for collecting the information contained in the memory system. The register operates as a flip-flop and is composed of a first inverter, an AND gate and a second inverter. The input of the first inverter is connected to receive the information bits read in a memory block. The AND gate includes two inputs, one of which is connected to the output of the first inverter. The other input receives, at the beginning of the memory reading cycle, an initialization signal for positioning the flip-flop in a given state. The output of the AND gate is connected to the second inverter which has its output connected, in turn, to the input receiving information read from the memory system.

  • Patent number: 4330825
Abstract: A device is provided for automatically determining the storage capacity of a data processing or transmission system and signalling when the storage capacity is inadequate to handle an incoming address. The store includes a plurality of storage fractions made up of storage modules adopted to be plugged into a printed circuit board having a conductor pattern thereon and connector locations disposed along the conductor pattern. The modules may be plugged into the circuit board and a full storage fraction is established when electrical continuity is established along the whole length of a conductor which connects all of the location localities assigned to a storage fraction. The conductor pattern is interrupted at the connection localities of the modules of one and the same storage fraction.
