  • Patent number: 11815339
Abstract: The invention relates to a protective shield that can be worn by one person. This shield encloses this person's entire upper body and is made of bullet-resistant or fragment-resistant material. The protection shield consists of two concentric hollow semi-cylindrical or conical halves. The first half has slightly smaller outer dimensions than the second half and includes belts or straps, such that the wearer can carry this first half on his back like a backpack. The second larger half is rotatably mounted on the outside of this first half and can hold 180 rotated degrees about a vertical axis of rotation. The protection shield can also include more than two concentric hollow semi-cylindrical or conical halves.

  • Publication number: 20210113360
Abstract: The invention relates to a holder, which can be fixed around the elbows of a person to prevent that person to make hitting movements. By means of a belt, strap or a pin, which can be inserted through holes in both sides of said holder, or a shackle, the elbow can be secured in the holder. If the holder is fixed around someone's elbow, the wearer can not fully stretch his arm anymore, necessary for delivering a blow with his fist. However the arm still has sufficient freedom of movement and the user can still bend his arm to 90 degrees. Therefore the user can still perform all daily activities.

  • Publication number: 20180361775
Abstract: The present invention relates to a book binding device to perform a binding process comprising a coupling process in which two stacks of sheets, such as sheets or, paper, each with at least one sheet, are coupled to each other by tabs in the sheets, and a cutting process to produce the tabs along a respective tab edge of at least one of the two stacks to be coupled, to bind the sheets into a book along a spine side of the sheets, the device comprising: —two stack holders to each hold a stack of at least one sheet, —a cutting assembly to perform the process of cutting out sheet material to form the tabs, —a coupling assembly to couple the tabs of two respective stacks to produce the book, in which —the stack holders serve as positioners for the two stacks to keep the stacks properly oriented during the binding process at all times.

  • Patent number: 9676439
Abstract: A vehicle with a collapsible body. With this construction a one-person's vehicle can be folded together to a very compact size with the dimensions of an average suitcase. The body comprises two halves: a front and back part. Each of these parts contains a lower and upper hollow section. Each upper hollow section can slide telescopically in and out the lower hollow section, thus enlarging or reducing the length of the corresponding part. In the collapsed state both parts with all their sections are nested into each other. A further reduction of the volume of the collapsed vehicle can be achieved by using a chassis with two retractable slidable frame parts.

  • Publication number: 20150014978
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cover for at least partially enclosing a stack, the stack comprising at least two sheets, the cover comprising: a front cover member for placing at the front side of the stack; a rear cover member for placing at the rear side of the stack and connected to the front cover member, a spine crease or spine part on a spine side for connecting the front cover member and the rear cover member at least in the assembled state with the stack, and front coupling means for coupling the front cover member to the respective side of the stack.

  • Publication number: 20140356573
Abstract: The present invention relates to a punch device for punching a stack comprising at least one sheet of paper, comprising: —a frame; —at least one guide element for guiding the stack to a punching position; —at least one punch element for co-action with a respective punch plate element and which is mounted movably on the frame, wherein the punch element is movable reciprocally from a rest position along a punching path; and —an operating element for moving the punch element selectively along the punching path, —wherein the punch device is adapted to punch at least one recess in an cutting face of the stack.

  • Patent number: 8302998
Abstract: A binding system (1) comprising a stack of sheet (2), each with a binding side (3) with attachment means for the connection of the sheets. The binding side of a sheet possesses an alternating sequence of tabs and notches. One sheet can be attached to an adjacent sheet by interlocking its tab (4) into the notches between the corresponding tabs of the adjacent sheet. The tabs fit exactly into these notches to provide a seamless connection between these sheets. Thus this binding system provides for a quick, user-friendly binding system without requiring separate and cumbersome attachment means.

  • Publication number: 20090229220
Abstract: A building system comprising rectangular strips, that can be attached to each other using tabs and notches. The building system uses software to simulate and print the models. The software manipulates similar rectangular strips. The surface of the rectangular strips, of the building system as well as the software, comprises a plurality of folding lines, regularly distributed over that entire surface. Each strip can be folded along these folding lines to become a curved surface in space. Several curved strips can be attached to each other to form a 3D-model, both physically with the building system as well as virtually with the software. The software can be used to print the model with an digital image. In particular one can deform an ordinary photo to a realistic 3D-image.
