  • Publication number: 20240103284
Abstract: A head-mountable display with a light shield that can be modified to reduce the friction against softer more pliable portions of a user's face when the head-mountable display is worn by the user. The head-mountable display can also be configured to capture images of the user's face when it is worn and then create an avatar of the user's face. The avatar can be digitally adjusted to reflect an avatar that more closely aligns with the user's desired configuration.

  • Publication number: 20240069596
Abstract: A head-mounted device may include a main housing portion and displays in the main housing portion that provide images to eye boxes. A light seal may be coupled to the main housing portion and may at least partially surround the eye boxes. The head-mounted device may include sweat mitigation structures such as moisture-guiding channels in the light seal to guide sweat and other moisture away from the eye boxes. The moisture-guiding channels may be formed from grooves or moisture-wicking fabric. Control circuitry may adjust a fan based on humidity, temperature, or fog detected by a sensor. The light seal may include a directional pattern of grooves through which moisture is guided away from the eye boxes. A moisture barrier layer may be interposed between an inner foam layer and an outer light-blocking fabric to prevent sweat from penetrating into the foam.

  • Patent number: 8587468
Abstract: A method, a system and a program product for deinterleaving and classifying an incoming unknown radar pulse pattern uses a library of state machines that mesh with a library of known radar pulse patterns of a library of known radar emitter sources. A continuous sequence of radar pulse descriptor words is secured for the incoming unknown radar pulse pattern and a plurality of state machines that may mesh with the continuous sequence of radar pulse descriptor words is selected from the library of state machines. The plurality of state machines that may mesh with the incoming unknown radar pulse pattern is operated upon the incoming unknown radar pulse pattern. Radar emitter sources that correlate with state machines that actually mesh with the incoming unknown radar pulse pattern are designated as radar emitter sources that comprise the incoming unknown radar pulse pattern.

  • Patent number: 8336950
Abstract: The invention comprises a set of tubular inflatable bags mounted to the underside of a transport trailer along its lower edge in front of the rear wheel assembly. The bags are pressurized by ram air inflation upon forward motion of the trailer, such that they prevent air from entering the rear wheel assembly and thereby reduce aerodynamic drag. The outer exposed sides of the bags are vertically and horizontally straightened and stiffened by horizontal ribs which are anchored by cords to the trailer. The apparatus gives way without stress when unpressurized at slow speed and when docking to avoid damage.

  • Patent number: 7179032
Abstract: There is described an expanding blind rivet assembly having a flange (3) provided with an undercut surface facing the rivet shank. A resilient cap (20) is formed with a cavity (22) having an opening surrounded by an undercut surface (23) within the cavity, so that the cap may be snap-engaged over the flange of the rivet after setting. The cap provides abrasion and corrosion protection for the flange. The cap (20) may also be provided with securing means for securing a further component to the cap (20).

  • Patent number: 7147270
Abstract: A twin bag inflatable rear airfoil for truck or transport trailer with attached shelves that bridge the surface gap between the trailer side and top surfaces, and the corresponding side and top surfaces of the inflatable bags. Shelves also bridge the upper surface gap between the two bags and provide a platform to deploy a collapsible yaw control fin. Another set of panels provide airfoil surfaces in the ground domain and are integral to the organised automatic folding and stowage of the apparatus. Interrupted ribs stiffen the inflatable surfaces while allowing them to fold in an orderly manner.
