Abstract: An apparatus for collection and loading of material into hauling vehicles, such as rear-loading trucks. The apparatus includes a receiving member, preferably formed in the shape of a platform or tray, that is attached to the vehicle by a connector proximate its storage area. The connector allows the receiving member to be rotated from a deployed position, in which material is loaded on to the receiving member, towards a generally upright transfer position, in which the material is transferred to the storage area of the vehicle. The apparatus includes an operation means, which is activated to raise and lower the receiving member.
