  • Patent number: 4862745
Abstract: A fuel tank float for use with gasoline-alcohol mixtures comprising a closed container formed of a material resistant to such mixtures and filled with a slurry of a low specific gravity material such as hollow glass beads in a medium substantially similar to the gasoline-alcohol mixture to be gauged therewith.

  • Patent number: 4637620
Abstract: A chuck assembly having jaws to grip an annular work-piece on its outer periphery while machining other surfaces including a face and bore and an expansible element to grip the bore surface of the annular work-piece while machining the outer surfaces and a face, with mechanism for actuating the jaws and expansible element alternately, the parts supporting the jaws and expansible element comprising an assembly adapted for mounting on the headstock of a lathe to permit machining of the work-piece by tools carried on the tool holders normally present in a lathe.

  • Patent number: 4576376
Abstract: A treadmill is provided in a tank in which there is sufficient water to provide considerable buoyancy to a person walking or running on the treadmill. The treadmill operates a water pump, and means are provided to restrict the pump output to the extent desired to provide the desired load or resistance to movement by the treadmill.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4490587
Abstract: A switch assembly comprising a flexible face cover membrane; a flexible keyboard membrane positioned immediately below the face cover membrane and including a base portion and a plurality of raised hollow contact pad portions projecting upwardly from the base portion through openings in the face cover member; a flexible printed circuit board membrane positioned below the keyboard membrane for switching coaction with the contact pad portions of the keyboard membrane; and adhesive means bonding the membranes together into a thin, flexible sealed switch sandwich. In one embodiment of the invention, the keyboard membrane is formed of a non-conductive elastomeric material and conductive elastomeric buttons are secured to the underside of the contact pad portions of the keyboard membrane for coaction with printed circuitry on the upper surface of the circuit board membrane.
