  • Publication number: 20090298421
Abstract: The invention discloses a repeater antenna for use in point-to-point applications in telecommunications systems in the microwave range, intended for connecting transmissions from a first radio unit at a first site to a second radio unit at a second site. The repeater antenna is essentially plane, and is designed as a traveling wave antenna with at least a first and a second antenna beam, so that the first beam can be used for transmissions to and from said first radio unit, and the second beam can be used for transmissions to and from said second radio unit.

  • Patent number: 6930873
Abstract: Characteristics of micro electromechanical switches can be changed by applying a control signal which either changes one or more parameters of the micro electromechanical switches or which controls beam movement by feedback signals. It is thereby possible to change switching transient time, maximum switching frequency, power tolerance, and/or sensitivity (actuation voltage) of a micro electromechanical switch.

  • Patent number: 6798321
Abstract: A micro electromechanical switch structure includes a beam that is continuously controllable by adding an actuation electrode proximate to, but outside a beam projection. The beam projection is onto and perpendicular to a plane of the actuation electrode. By placing an actuation electrode beside a beam instead of underneath the beam, the actuation electrode can continuously control the movement of the beam from a rest position to a complete actuation.

  • Publication number: 20040136138
Abstract: Characteristics of micro electromechanical switches can be changed according to the invention by applying a control signal which either changes one or more parameters of the micro electromechanical switches or which controls beam movement by feedback signals. It is thereby possible to change switching transient time, maximum switching frequency, power tolerance, and/or sensitivity (actuation voltage) of a micro electromechanical switch.

  • Publication number: 20020186108
Abstract: A micro electromechanical N-way switch comprising normally open micro electromechanical switches and normally closed micro electromechanical switches arranged in up to 2C rows with C columns of a logical functions matrix. Each row of predetermined serially coupled micro electromechanical switches will create, when selected, a signal path to one way of the N-way switch. The micro electromechanical switches are commonly controlled column by column. Also a phase shift arrangement is shown, with a limited predetermined number of micro electromechanical switches in the signal path, irrespective of the number of selectable phase shift elements.

  • Patent number: 6396439
Abstract: A method for controlling the radiation pattern of an antenna means comprising N helically configured radiating elements, where N is an integer greater than 1, an antenna system, comprising N helically configured radiating elements, and a radio communication device including such an antenna system. In the method, at least one property of at least one received signal from at least one of the radiating elements is measured, and at least one of the parameters phase (&phgr;n) and amplitude (An) for received signals and/or signals to be transmitted for at least one of the radiating elements is controlled as a response to the measured property of said received signal. The antenna system comprises means for controlling at least one of the parameters phase ((&phgr;n) and amplitude (An) for signals received and/or signals to be transmitted by at least one of the antenna elements.
