  • Publication number: 20050131920
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided which enable users to map and transform data between different data schemas while preserving the semantic integrity of the data. In accordance with the present invention, computer implemented methods and systems are provided for separation and mapping of representational and linguistic semantics. By representing the semantic portion of the schema using a formal ontology, these methods and systems allow data to be contextually transferred between different data schemas.

  • Patent number: 6324541
Abstract: A contact intelligence data mining tool for storing, processing, displaying, and printing relational patterns between entities (e.g., business and other contacts). The tool allows proprietary individual contact data to be merged with accurate and up-to-date public information in order to explore the full scope (or sphere) of an individual's or business concern's scope of influence. It intelligently establishes and presents personal, direct contacts as well as contacts of contacts, and so on. The tool further displays, via a graphical user interface, the optimal relationship path (i.e., contact pathway) to reach desired contacts.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 27, 2001
    Assignee: BoardWalk Ltd.
Inventors: Paris de l'Etraz, James R. Fees, Paul Hatcher, Otto Bruderer, Christina M. Fees

  • Patent number: 5812057
Abstract: A detector device for finding concealed studs in partitioning includes a pair of plates which are supplied with ac via resistors. Amplifiers produce outputs representing the sum and difference respectively of the signals imposed on the plates. The sum signal drives a display enabling circuit including a comparator which enables a display means to operate when the sum signal exceeds a threshold level. The difference signal drives two comparators which control three display device such that one display device is operated only when the detector device is over the center of a stud. The other display devices indicate which way the detector should be moved to place it over the center of the stud.

  • Patent number: 5676764
Abstract: An advantageous effective cleaning solvent consisting essentially, according to one embodiment, of methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, isopropyl alcohol, toluene and n-butyl acetate, in certain ranges of proportions. Water also is included to aid in reducing the vapor pressure of the solvent. The composite vapor pressure of the solvent, at 20.degree. C., neglecting the vapor pressure contribution of water, is not greater than 35 mm of mercury. The invention solvent is particularly effective as a paint cleaner, e.g. for cleaning paint guns.
