  • Publication number: 20140351074
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to computer-implemented systems and methods for searching auction data. According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, a method is provided. The method may include accessing auction data associated with a plurality of auction lanes in a vehicle auction. The method may also include determining, based at least in part on the auction data, one or more vehicles being auctioned at one or more of the plurality of auction lanes. Additionally, the method may include displaying respective graphical views associated with a subset of the one or more vehicles. Furthermore, the method may include ordering the respective graphical views based at least in part on respective auction times and respective remaining auction times for the subset of the one or more vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20050232767
Abstract: A template for assessing damaged areas on an object, such as a fan blade or other item, includes a set of marks indicating the maximum areas of damage allowed on the periphery of the object. A guide enables the template to be aligned in proper position against the object for accurate visual inspection of the damaged areas. For example, one or more blend guides are included to allow the inspector to mark a blend area around the damage to enable maintenance personnel to smooth sharp, jagged edges of the damaged areas, thereby relieving stress points and improving the aerodynamic efficiency of a blade in an engine. The template can include a magnifying portion that allows the user to see more detail on the object. Linear and/or curved measurement scales can also be included on the template.

  • Patent number: 6556433
Abstract: A computer having one or more components is assembled utilizing a friction fastener that is formed by use of a screw that bears on a surface attached to a cage adjacent a component to create a friction fit to retain the component in a secure manner within the cage in the computer. The surface is a substantially flat portion of a shim or finger tab that is attached to the cage. The surface fits into an opening in the cage having a backed-off portion screw support having a threaded opening opposite the surface from the component. The screw is installed in the screw support to provide force against the surface of the tab to press it into the component in a friction fit manner to prevent movement of the component relative to the cage.

  • Patent number: 5064612
Abstract: A composition and methods for use in oilfield waterflood systems are disclosed. The composition is comprised of a phosphonate, a copolymer, and a permanganate and is effective at inhibiting the corrosion of metallic systems in petroleum oilfields caused by chlorine dioxide. Methods of use of phosphonate and permanganate alone are also disclosed. Chlorine dioxide is used in oilfield waterflood systems to control sulfides and sulfate reducing bacteria. However, chlorine dioxide is highly corrovive to the metallic components in the processing equipment of an oilfield system. The most effective system currently used to inhibit corrosion caused by chlorine dioxide comprises chromates. However, chromates are highly toxic and their use throughout the country is becoming increasingly restricted.

  • Patent number: 4900451
Abstract: A method of inhibiting manganese deposition in open, recirculating aqueous systems is disclosed. A water soluble acrylic acid/allyl hydroxy propyl sulfonate ether copolymer having repeat units characterized by the structural formula: ##STR1## wherein M is a water soluble cation, the molar ratio x:y is from about 3:1 to about 6:1 and the number average molecular weight of the copolymer is from about 5,000 to about 10,000, preferrably with an organic phosphonate is added to the aqueous system. The organic phosphonate is preferably hydroxy ethylidene diphosphonic acid, diethylene triamine penta-(methylene phosphonic acid) or blends thereof. The copolymer or copolymer and phosphonic acid is effective in inhibiting the deposition of manganese in aqueous systems.

  • Patent number: 4789406
Abstract: Methods for removing iron oxide and other accumulated corrosion products from metal surfaces in contact with aqueous systems, such as cooling water systems, are disclosed. The method steps can be performed without requirement of system shutdown and without requirement of acidic conditions. The methods comprise contacting the corroded surface with an organic reductant/chelant and an inorganic reducing agent while the pH of the aqueous system is maintained within the substantially neutral range of about 6.5-7.5. Pyrogallol and methyl gallate may be used as the organic reductant/chelant.
