  • Publication number: 20190216541
Abstract: Skin treatment apparatus comprising an energy applicator structure configured to establish heating or ablation at a predetermined and controllable (i.e. selectable) depth below a surface of skin tissue with which it is in contact. The applicator structure may receive a cooling medium and microwave frequency electromagnetic energy, which provide a combined treatment effect that results in heating or ablation in a zone beneath the skin surface. The applicator may be a waveguide (e.g. waveguide horn antenna) with internal shielding configured to provide a substantially uniform heating effect. The applicator may include a thermal camera to monitor treatment.

  • Patent number: 7444583
Abstract: A standard graphics specification for use by both developers of graphics files as well as of applications developed to execute in a runtime environment is disclosed. The graphics files are developed to conform to the graphics specification and therefore will be executable by applications in any runtime environment that likewise conform to the graphics specification. The specification includes program syntax standards and standards for metadata in the form of semantics and annotations that further describe the code. The specification additionally includes standards to which applications may conform to ensure that the applications will be capable of executing any graphics files that conform to the graphics specification.

  • Publication number: 20020184845
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses directed to a system for releasably securing a frame/panel (wall system) to a substrate or wall. The system includes a first rod affixed to the wall in a substantially horizontal direction for securing a top portion of a frame, where the frame comprises a perimeter of polygonal or irregular shape. The system also includes a second rod spaced apart from the first rod and affixed to the wall in a substantially horizontal direction for securing a bottom portion of the frame. Each rod includes a substantially cylindrical shape having a substantially fixed curved surface throughout corresponding substantially to a predetermined diameter and including a length which is equal to or less than a width of the frame. The system also includes a plurality of clips affixed to an affixing side of the frame creating an affixable frame.

  • Patent number: 4649531
Abstract: The invention relates to a device (27) for centering, aligning and clamping a rigid optical disc (29) in an operating position on a disc drive unit, which disc has a center hole which is bounded by a wall (88). The device comprises a rotatable drive spindle (57) with a centering device (63) which is situated near its free end (59) and which comprises a plurality of radially movable centering members (65) and which are pivotally connected to the drive spindle and which each comprise at least one centering surface (65b), which centering surfaces are pressed against said wall of the disc in the operating position of the disc.

  • Patent number: 4046992
Abstract: A portable electronic voting machine suitable for use in simple elections includes a number of spring-loaded switches normally centered and movable upward to a vote position to select a candidate and downward to an erase position to erase a previous selection that has not yet been entered with a light above each switch indicating the state of selection. An n of m counter settable prior to the election to the maximum number of votes that may be cast by a voter and associated logical circuitry prevents more than that selected number from being entered by a single voter. An election official operates a voter enable switch to light a ready light and enables the apparatus to receive vote selections.
