  • Patent number: 8753216
Abstract: A play set with a mist device which includes a mist frame unit supported through a framework of the play set. The mist frame unit has a hollow body allowing water passage and comprises a flexible hose member mounted onto the framework, wherein a portion of the flexible hose member is constructed into a hose ring encircling a slide unit; a water inlet provided at a first end of the mist frame unit for connecting to a water source; and a plurality of mist producing units provided along the mist frame unit arranged for producing mist such that a preset mist surrounding area is defined within which the play set is located, therefore the mist can reach all play units of the play set, including the slide unit through the hose ring at an angle which is greater than 270°, thereby providing a cooling effect to the mist surrounding area.

  • Publication number: 20080146421
Abstract: Exercise apparatus of the stepper type which is adapted for use while the user is seated. The apparatus can be placed on the floor so that the user's legs can be exercised, or on a tabletop so that the user's arms can be exercised. Different combinations of resistance bands extending between a central post and user operated treadles provide different levels of resistance for the exercise. Changing the angle of the central post changes the range of motion for the exercise.

  • Patent number: 5949439
Abstract: A software queue located in an offscreen portion of video memory is used as a large-capacity software queue for queuing messages to a graphics accelerator. Although the software queue is typically stored in a dynamic RAM (DRAM) memory, advantages of faster static RAM (SRAM) are achieved by shadowing some of the queuing information in SRAM. Usage of a large-capacity software queue in video DRAM memory and information shadowing in faster SRAM memory achieves an advantageous balance between throughput speed and queue size. The large-capacity of the software queue ensures that the queue is virtually never filled to capacity so that delays while awaiting free space in the queue are virtually never incurred. The capacity of the software queue is determined in software and is therefore adaptable to match a particular graphics application.

  • Patent number: 5883640
Abstract: Various character strings are repeatedly displayed on a graphics display. For example, strings such as "file", "edit", "view" and "help" are commonly displayed on nearly every screen. This redundancy of displayed character strings is exploited using a string cache and string caching method. A string cache stores a database of strings along with the rendered forms of the strings. The string cache stores the strings in a rendered form which for particular character strings and attributes and characteristics of the strings. The string cache is stored and accessed local to a graphics accelerator so that a single string request across a system bus activates the display of the entire string, including a display of the selected attributes and characteristics.

  • Patent number: 5826975
Abstract: A lamp has a base, a pole attached to and extending upwardly from the base, a shade having a central opening, and a neck assembly at an upper end of the pole supporting the shade. The neck assembly supporting the shade includes an outer neck member with an annular bottom plate attached to the top of the pole and an upper annular support ring. An inner neck member has an annular bottom plate and an upper annular ring, the inner neck member being coaxial with the outer member and having an axial length between the bottom plate and ring less than the corresponding length of the outer member. An externally threaded body passes through the bottom plates. A nut threadedly engages the threaded body and urges the bottom plates toward each other with the upper rings engaging opposite upper and lower surfaces of the shade adjacent the central opening. A halogen or incandescent bulb socket is supported in the inner neck member.

  • Patent number: 5826799
Abstract: A sprinkling head structure including a housing, a valve seat, a water valve, a cap member and a ball joint. The valve seat is disposed in the housing, whereby an air chamber is defined between the valve seat and the housing. The water valve is disposed in the valve seat and communicated with a trumpet-shaped water discharging passage of the valve seat. The valve seat is formed with through holes communicating the air chamber with the water discharging passage. When a liquid flows from the water valve to the water discharging passage, an instantaneous low pressure is created, whereby the air is sucked in through the air vents from the air chamber to impact and interrupt the liquid so that the air is mixed with the liquid to form an intermittent bead-like water beam for achieving a massaging effect.
