  • Publication number: 20020130088
Abstract: The present invention relate to collecting colloidal solids in suspension for removal, for its drying and recovery, including in a scrubber as shown in my U.S. Pat. No. 6,180,012, where colloidal solids is made and is in suspension and in its clarifier located below, where some of the colloidal solids is washed down and is in suspension in desalinated seawater. Tubes with negative DC charge, attract build up of colloidal solids on their surfaces, and one loaded tube at the time is removed to a room or enclosure for drainage and drying with dry air. Thereafter the tube's DC charge is changed to positive, loosening the tube's grip and attraction to the colloidal solids which is blown through an outlet into a settling tank and down on a bottom screw conveyor that delivers the dry colloidal solids with little adhesion, to centrifuge for separation of the solids. From one of the solids is ammonia recycled for the process, which is important for saving cost, energy and production of C2.

  • Patent number: 6180012
Abstract: The invention relates to desalination of Sea water and of brakish water, and removal of harmful CO2 gas in exhaust from combustion apparatuses. The exhaust, rich in carbon dioxide (CO2) is diverted to a process chamber, where Sea water, after being mixed with Ammonia, as a catalyst to weaken the salt molecules, is pumped into the chamber and dispersed at many points near the top, as a fine spray, exposing the salt to the CO2 gas there. The internal bond of the salt molecules (NaCl) are weaker by the Ammonia in the water attaching and pulling on their Cl atom. The CO2 in the chamber is attaching and pulling on the Na atom of the salt molecules and are further reduces the bond, breaking them apart. Two heavy solids are formed, they settle in a clarifier below and are removed. Desalinated Sea water, in large quantities per ton of salt, over flows from the clarifier, for use in communities and for agriculture.

  • Patent number: 5671758
Abstract: tobacco filled smoking article adopted to produce less toxic substances such as carbon monoxide in the combustion gases, adding solid inert, stable non polluting catalysts in or near the tobacco, causing substantial catalytic reduction of carbon monoxide in the combustion gases.

  • Patent number: 5628260
Abstract: This invention related to aprocessing device such as a calciner or the like. The processing vessel is vertical with concentric cylindrical inner and outer walls, closely spaced and heated for rapid thermal processing, with strong boiling, evaporating, fluidizing and gasifying feed. This vigorous action is helping the steady gravitational movement of feed through the vessel. A top inlet for feed and a bottom outlet for residue are provided. Means for preventing air infiltration and means for controlling flow and keeping vessel filled during processing are provided. Any number of outlets for steam, boiling hot water, fluidized and gasified material at various heights of the vessel. Some material require addition of catalysts to bring about a chemical change and reduction in a pyrolitic process.

  • Patent number: 4269709
Abstract: A flowing liquid system in which means are provided for simultaneously aerating and circulating said liquid comprising surface aerator means cooperating with partition means extending into a communication section between a first channel and a second channel with the aerator means located on the second channel side of and separated from the partition means and closer to the partition means than to the outside of the communication section, said system being particularly suited for use in an activated sludge waste water treatment system.

  • Patent number: 4146478
Abstract: A continuous waste water treatment system comprising a reservoir providing a single, closed, continuous, substantially horizontal path through at least two adjacent substantially concentric loops, each of said loops having a beginning and an end, said reservoir being provided with waste water inlet means, treated liquid outlet means, and aeration and circulation means, and wherein said treated liquid outlet means is connected to clarifying means which removes at least some of the sludge carried by the treated liquid and sludge return means is provided to return at least some of the removed sludge to said reservoir.
