  • Publication number: 20240093354
Abstract: A system for processing powder includes a process tube connected to load lock chamber via a vacuum valve. The load lock chamber includes first and second stations. Each of the first and second stations is configured to receive a barrel containing powder to be treated. A mechanical transfer mechanism is configured to: move a barrel containing powder to be treated from the first station into the process tube; move a barrel containing powder to be treated from the second station into the process tube; move a barrel containing treated powder from the process tube to the first station; and move a barrel containing treated powder from the process tube to the second station.

  • Publication number: 20230234806
Abstract: An unwinding system includes a detector assembly configured to detect a position of a fiber unwound from a bobbin and the presence of fuzz. The system further includes a controller configured to adjust at least one of a lateral position or a rotational speed of the bobbin based on at least one of the position of the fiber tow or the presence of fuzz.

  • Patent number: 8460752
Abstract: The use of deposition modules groups for each CVD deposition position including at least two deposition modules, together with a Motion Control System that controls and confines the motion of said deposition modules, enables a quick deposition module exchange at the deposition locations of On-Line or Off-Line CVD coating system. This results in a high volume large area CVD coating system that can increase the commercial viability of a given CVD system design through production throughput increases, production cost reductions, overall higher process flexibility and/or improved film quality.
