Abstract: A method includes forming an assembly of layers including an InP cap layer on an InGaAs absorption region layer, wherein the InGaAs layer is on an n-InP layer, and wherein an underlying substrate layer underlies the n-InP layer. The method includes removing a portion of the InP cap and n-InP layer by dry etching.

Abstract: A method and system for routing a packet in a non 3rd Generation Partnership Project (“3GPP”) network are provided. In accordance with one aspect, a method includes receiving via a first type interface a 3GPP Policy and Charging Control (“PCC”) rule. The 3GPP PCC rule is evaluated. A local rule associated with the 3GPP PCC rule is determined. The packet is routed on the non-3GPP network to a user equipment using the determined local rule.

Abstract: Presented is a system and methods for allowing a user, through their end user device, to invoke and access on-demand and always-on time interval based multimedia priority services (MPS). The time interval can be specified by the user directly for the user's session or provided by a managing authority for a plurality of user sessions. The time interval can be specified as a period from user invocation forward or as a start time/date pair to an end time/date pair.

Abstract: A system and method for queuing emergency telecommunication service requests prevent dropped connections by sending messages to nodes requesting the emergency telecommunication service that the request has been queued. This allows for an orderly queuing process and allows congestion related issues to be overcome without preempting existing network traffic.

Abstract: A software-based tool provides an evaluation of a company's level of reporting about itself. The tool can, in some cases, provide an assessment of a company's communications against a framework that assumes transparent reporting is desirable. A comparison with pre-selected criteria such as a pre-selected peer group of companies or against a set of recommended practices may be provided in some implementations. Based on the results of the analysis, a score can be generated for different areas of the framework. The scores can be summarized in an executive level presentation that may include, in some implementations, benchmark results against the framework and the pre-selected criteria, identification of best practice examples, and recommendations for improvement.
