    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for installing an engine seal include the steps of removing the existing seal and repositioning a replacement seal therein. A varying-diameter sleeve is compressed, inserted into the replacement seal and released. A telescoping pipe is inserted into the sleeve and extended until the seal is perfectly seated within a designated groove.
