  • Patent number: 11963849
Abstract: A hearing protection system is provided. The hearing protection system has a first active hearing protection system. The first active hearing protection system is level-dependent. The hearing protection system also has a second active hearing protection system. The second active hearing protection system is level-dependent. Each of the first and second active hearing protection systems are configured to operate in an independent mode and a dual-protection mode. A dual-protection mode level dependent function of the second active hearing protection system is different than an independent mode level dependent function.

  • Patent number: 11943151
Abstract: Systems and methods which facilitate access to computing resources by cloud-based applications are described. Embodiments enable cloud-based applications to provide output to and/or obtain input from computing resources, such as printers, scales, scanners, and storage devices, for performing various functions. In operation according to embodiments, a user agent client application is executed by computing equipment in communication with a computing resource to which access is to be provided to one or more cloud-based applications. Although embodiments implement a user interface client application which is separate from a user agent client application, tight integration between a user interface client application and user agent client application may be provided. Embodiments not only facilitate operation whereby a cloud-based application is enabled to provide output to and/or obtain input from computing resources, but also facilitate remote and/or shared client interaction with such computing resources.

  • Publication number: 20240095660
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing various shipping related functionality are presented. The methods can automatically predict shipping attributes based on historical shipping data, and automatically purchase postage for a current shipment from a shared postage account while preventing the postage account shared among multiple users from having insufficient funds. Furthermore, predictions of shipping attributes for shipments may not be presented to a user, until the certainty of the predictions reaches or surpasses a confidence level or a threshold, where the confidence level or the threshold can be determined and changed by a user. Even when the certainty of the predictions reaches or surpasses a confidence level, and the predictions are presented to the user, the user can accept, reject, or change the predicted attributes.

  • Patent number: 6648185
Abstract: An electrically operated pre-mix valve includes a cup lever operable to activate a switch to energize a solenoid. The solenoid operates a first lever, which then contacts and operates a second lever. The second lever, in turn, moves against the contact end of an actuating shaft. The actuating shaft is thereby moved to permit beverage flow through the valve and out of a nozzle thereof. Thus, the valve herein uses a compound lever system to gain a mechanical advantage for substantially lessening the opening force required to be applied by the solenoid.

  • Patent number: 6571573
Abstract: The present invention comprises a pneumatic ice transport system having a primary ice reservoir and a blower connected to a venturi. The ice reservoir includes an ice dispensing mechanism for dispensing of ice there from into an ice flow tube. The venturi suction intake is connected by a tube to the discharge end of the ice chute. The outlet of the venturi is connected to a tube for directing the ice to a remote location. In operation, the blower provides a large volume of relatively low pressure air to the venturi. A heat exchanger can be connected between the outlet of the blower and the air inlet of the venturi. In a preferred embodiment, the heat exchanger uses forced air and melt water from the primary storage bin to cool the air stream produced by the blower. The heat exchanger serves to lower the temperature of that air to at or below ambient.

  • Patent number: 6324863
Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and method for providing effective chlorination of water used in ice making equipment for the production of ice cubes for sanitizing and retarding the growth of micro-organisms therein. A chlorine generator is used to produce chlorine gas from chloride ions present in the water.

  • Patent number: 5607083
Abstract: A post-mix beverage dispensing valve is shown that provides for assembly thereof substantially manually. This easy assembly is provided for by a plurality of snap fitting component structures. A nozzle is also shown that provides for higher flow rates. Lever operated and electronic operated embodiments of the valve are also shown. The valve is also particularly designed to provide for an electronic switch/control module separate from the valve housing cover. The valve further includes improved banjo valves and accompanying seat structures to provide for increased fluid flow and for fluid flow that is less turbulent.

  • Patent number: 5285815
Abstract: A post-mix beverage dispensing valve is shown having a quick disconnect mounting and easily detachable valve cover housing and valve actuating lever. The quick disconnect includes a body having a pair of parallel shafts extending therethrough. A pair of lock plates are secured on each end of the shafts. The locking plates each include a pair of locking tabs that cooperate with similarly sized locking pockets or areas on the valve main body. The valve also includes modular brix/flow control components to provide for quick adapting of the valve over a wide range of desired flow and/or brix parameters. An adjustable nozzle is shown for adjusting the flow rate of beverage there from with respect to the operating flow rate.
