  • Patent number: 11976999
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to chain monitoring systems and methods. In particular, the chain monitoring system is configured to mount onto a portion of a chain and measure one or more parameters associated with one or more characteristics of the chain. The measured parameters are processed by the chain monitoring system and/or transmitted to a remote system for analysis. The analysis may be used to determine a characteristic and/or change in the characteristic of the chain. In some examples, the characteristic is an elongation value associated with the chain, which can be transmitted to a networked system for analysis, display, and/or control. In some examples, a sensor can be employed to measure one or more characteristics of the chain. The sensor may include, but is not limited to, a strain gauge, an accelerometer, an optical, a sonic, and/or a magnetic sensor.

  • Publication number: 20220198090
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of analyzing postural comfort of an occupant seated on a seat track of a vehicle includes obtaining, at a computing device having one or more processors, a first set of data corresponding to a mannequin definition, obtaining, at the computing device, a second set of data corresponding to reference geometry of an environment of the vehicle, and obtaining, at the computing device, a third set of data corresponding to vehicle occupant comfort guidelines. Including generating, at the computing device, a CAD template with a mannequin model, vehicle reference geometry including the seat track, and comfort guidelines based on the first set of data, the second set of data, and the third set of data, and automatically determining, at the computing device, whether one or more locations on the seat track are a comfortable seating position for the occupant based at least on the third set of data.

  • Patent number: 4856318
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the suitability of playground, recreation and sports facilities surfaces as well as determining natural or synthetic surface compactness and hardness. The apparatus includes a transducer module consisting of an impact head and a transducer capable of converting impact forces or g's to electrical signals and an electronic module which detects the electrical signal from the transducer, amplifies the peak value and converts it to a digital, numerical reading. The apparatus is adapted to accept a variety of impact heads, transducers and electronic peripherals depending on specific applications.
