    Abstract: An additive manufacturing apparatus includes a platform, a dispenser to deliver a plurality of successive layers of feed material on the platform, a light source to generate one or more light beams, a first galvo mirror scanner positioned to direct a first light beam onto a topmost layer of the plurality of successive layers, a second galvo mirror scanner positioned to direct a second light beam onto the topmost layer of the plurality of successive layers, and a controller configured to cause the first galvo mirror scanner to direct the first light beam to pre-heat or heat-treat an area of the topmost layer and to cause the second galvo mirror scanner to direct the second light beam to fuse the area of the topmost layer.

    Abstract: A set of glider planes formed in the shape of actual fighter aircraft are provided. Each glider includes a flat front portion having the profile of a fighter aircraft and bearing a graphical depiction of the fighter aircraft. To improve the aerodynamics of the gliders, each glider includes a generally circular flat rear portion extending rearwardly from the front portion. The rear portion may include a graphic depiction of exhaust plumes. The glider is inexpensively constructed of a foam laminate material and is launchable by means of a common household elastic band. A launching base, configured in the shape of a miniature aircraft helmet, is provided. The launching base has a hollow cavity sized to mount securely over the left thumb of a child. An elastic band connects the launching base to the glider to provide a launching mechanism.

A magnetic deck assembly reads the signals on a magnetic tape element to produce an audio transmission that describes a story. Concurrently, the signals tell the user when to activate a pneumatic system that houses a clutch and ratchet system to advance a film element for producing a sequence of projected images that also describe the story.

    Abstract: A toy vehicle and track assembly is provided for the detonation of toy percussion caps. A striker member is pivotally mounted within a housing that is biased to rotate in a predetermined direction. The striker member is retained by a keeper member than can be selectively released. A door can be connected to the housing for positioning an anvil that is capable of mounting the toy cap within striking movement of the striker member for detonating the cap.
