  • Patent number: 11938317
Abstract: Energy is transmitted to a body lumen or passageway in the form of pulsed electric fields (PEFs) and in a manner which provides focal therapy. In some embodiments, PEFs are delivered through independent electrically active electrodes of an energy delivery body, typically in a monopolar fashion. Such delivery concentrates the electrical energy over a smaller surface area, resulting in stronger effects than delivery through an electrode extending circumferentially around the lumen or passageway. It also forces the electrical energy to be delivered in a staged regional approach, mitigating the effect of preferential current pathways through the surrounding tissue. Focal delivery of PEFs can provide increased tissue lethality by employing precise timing and sequencing of energy delivery to the electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20240080594
Abstract: A speaker can have a main body with a generally spheroidal shape, which can be supported standing on its end. The speaker can include a subwoofer that faces forward. A plurality of mid-range drivers can be distributed around the sub-woofer, facing generally forward and radially outward. A plurality of tweeters can be distributed around the sub-woofer, facing generally forward and generally outward. The outer housing portion of the speaker can be covered with a fabric material. A user interface ring 162 can be touch sensitive to receive input, and can have a plurality of lights that can be illuminated separately to convey information to the user.

  • Publication number: 20240076607
Abstract: There is described a process for producing at least one of mycoprotein and the components thereof, the process comprising: (i) providing a fermentation media suitable for producing mycoprotein; (ii) fermenting the fermentation media to obtain a mixture comprising mycoprotein; (iii) separating the mycoprotein from the mixture to obtain a mycoprotein phase; and (iv) mechanically disrupting the cell walls of the mycoprotein in the mycoprotein phase thereby releasing at least some of the mycoprotein cell contents. There is also described at least one of mycoprotein and the components thereof obtainable, obtained or directly obtained from the process. Further described is a composition comprising at least one of mycoprotein and the components thereof, wherein the composition is non-fibrous. The composition may comprise at least one of: protein obtained from mycoprotein, and amino acids derived from protein obtained from mycoprotein.

  • Publication number: 20100307226
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention feature apparatus, kits and methods for detecting the presence or absence of a mineralocorticoid in biological samples. The methods, apparatus and kits feature a high performance liquid chromatography system with a column for receiving one or more biological samples potentially having mineralocorticoid, said chromatography system receiving one or more biological samples at a first time and separating the compounds in retained peaks comprising at least mineral corticoid retained peak for a mineralocorticoid in the event said mineralocorticoid is present at a mineralocorticoid retention time. And, a mass spectrometer in fluid communication with the high performance liquid chromatography system receives one or more of said retained peaks including the mineralocorticoid retained peak at the mineralocorticoid retention time, and produces a signal to allow said mineralocorticoid to be identified by retention peak and mass charge values.
