  • Patent number: 11052523
Abstract: The present invention is an improved framing hammer. In one embodiment, the improved framing hammer has two opposing heads. One head being flat and the other head being waffle faced. Each head has a slot running horizontally that is able to hold a nail by a magnet in the slot. The slot further acts as a fulcrum point. On opposite sides of the head, there is a mini-claw and on the other side is a v-slotted extractor mounted to the cheek.

  • Patent number: 10145311
Abstract: The Intelligent Fault Tolerant Throttle Body prevents unintended acceleration of vehicles. This invention solves this emergency by returning the throttle plate to a safe position when commanded by a driver Emergency Button or by brake actuation. The device is installed on a conventional throttle body and comprises an Emergency Button (EB) and a Throttle Motor Controller (TMC). The TMC is a micro controller contained inside the throttle body assembly that intercepts and modifies signals from the engine control unit (ECU) to the Throttle Body Motor (TBM) and monitors the brake switch signal and the throttle position sensor (TPS). The TMC has an internal accelerometer and a throttle pedal sensor input as well as other sensors which are used as additional confirmation of a true unintended acceleration condition and not resulting from ECU, wiring or sensor failures.

  • Patent number: 8534168
Abstract: A pliers is adjustable between at least two distinct selectable size ranges. A movable pivot pin is held stable in a selected recess of a slot in both loaded and unloaded conditions. A lower jaw is adjustable between a small and a large size range. A multifunction spring is movably attached to a body to both firmly bias a lower jaw and handle to an open position and to retain the pin in a constant selected pivot position of the body for normally used conditions. The pliers include a familiar function and compact shape without additional bulk from the structures of the improved features. Only a simple wire form is required to provide the improvement of the invention in a preferred locking pliers embodiment.

  • Publication number: 20050274236
Abstract: Locking pliers for grasping an object include a body and a sliding jaw member having a first jaw, the sliding jaw member slidably connected to a body wherein the sliding jaw member may be selectively positioned with respect to the body. A rotating jaw member has an integral second jaw and is rotatably connected to the body. A locking handle is also rotatably connected to the body, the locking handle combining with the rotating jaw member to form an over center mechanism. The sliding jaw member is slidably positioned so that the first and second jaws contact the object. Then the rotating jaw member and the locking handle are urged together activating the over center mechanism to firmly grasp the object.

  • Patent number: 5746099
Abstract: An adjustable sliding jaw wrench is disclosed which has a sliding jaw adjustment mechanism operated by a worm gear rotatably mounted in an opening in the wrench head, the worm gear driving a rack member to which the sliding jaw is attached. The worm gear is substantially shorter than the width of the opening in the wrench head in which it is mounted, and is spring biased into an operating position. A sliding locking member is movable between a locked position which will mechanically maintain the worm gear in its operating position, and an unlocked position in which the worm gear will be permitted to move in a direction opposing the biasing spring.
