  • Patent number: 11789950
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a streaming data processing system that defers processing of some data based on a determined importance of the data. A streaming data processing system can ingest a data stream that contains multiple events, and can extract data field values from individual events and process the data field values to determine event importance. The streaming data processing system can then do further processing and indexing of high importance events, and can generate a storage prefix for each low importance event that determines where to store the low importance event in a data storage system. The streaming data processing system can then process queries by retrieving the indexed high importance events, and can extract the data field values from a high importance event to determine the storage prefix for retrieving corresponding low importance events from the data storage system.

  • Patent number: 11734369
Abstract: Methods, servers, and computer programs for processing multiple data records in response to a database request with search indications are provided. The server retrieves multiple data records with parameter values in the fields which correspond to the search indications indicated by the database request, determines weight values for at least two of the fields based on the corresponding parameter values of the at least two fields, calculates an aggregated score for at least a number of the retrieved data records based on the determined weight values, and returns at least a subset of the retrieved data records to the client based on the calculated aggregated scores.

  • Patent number: 11720549
Abstract: A machine data validation system can track and validate the integrity of machine data generated by machines. The system can generate hashes for the items and batch hashes that can be validated using an immutable data store, such as a blockchain. The system can implement a tiered blockchain structure to efficiently store and reference the hashes to validate the machine data at different times or upon request from an end-user.

  • Publication number: 20230133241
Abstract: The present disclosure describes automated systems and methods for handling objects, such as culture plates or dishes. For example, in one embodiment, the present disclosure describes an automated stacker and de-stacker comprising a clamping mechanism, a lift pad, a pair of pins, and a cabinet. A stack of culture plates may be stored in the cabinet. During a stacking operation, the pair of pins may be raised to stop a culture plate traveling along a conveyor track. Once stopped, the culture plate may be raised above the conveyor track by the lift pad and clamped by the clamping mechanism. During a de-stacking operation, the clamping mechanism may be opened, and the culture plate may be lowered onto the conveyor track by the lift pad.

  • Patent number: 11272902
Abstract: An ultrasound probe arrangement comprises a holder for application to a surface, a housing mounted over the holder and a probe carrier. The housing has an inner guide surface which comprises a portion of a sphere and the probe carrier comprises a disc having an outer guide surface around the outer rim of the disc which comprises a portion of sphere. The probe carrier is slidable within the housing with the inner and outer guide surfaces in contact. An ultrasound probe is carried by the probe carrier and makes contact with the surface, e.g. skin. This arrangement enables the probe to be held in a desired orientation so that a clinician can work hands-free. The disc design enables different probe designs to be used with the same basic holder and housing design.

  • Publication number: 20040120706
Abstract: The first step in isolating a soft fault within a transparent network is to determine which OMS trail is causing the fault. This can be accomplished by forcing regeneration at a flexibility point, which permits the estimation of the signal quality using a BER measurement. The preferred mechanism for segmenting Och faults to an OMS/trail is eavesdropping, using dedicated tunable filters and receivers or spare test tunable filters and receivers at network flexibility sites. Once the fault has been isolated to a specific OMS trail, analog tools are used to further isolate the fault down to a single replaceable module or fiber, using rapid measurement and correlation of relevant measured and pre-calculated expected performance data. In case of hard faults, to avoid superfluous alarm reports at connection termination points, the optical channel fault detector provides fault indications to downstream nodes using Forward Defect Indications (FDI) over the optical supervisory channel (OSC).

  • Patent number: 6475039
Abstract: A contact pin for an electrical connector comprises a body, a connector element, and a sheath, the connector element being maintained in the extension of the body by being coupled with a peg projecting from the front face of the body, the sheath being disposed around the connector element and maintained on the body by clamping an annular portion of the latter. At the peg end, connector element comprises an end for coupling with said pin, conformed such that the pin cannot fit inside the cross section of said coupling end, the connector element being capable of deforming elastically to enable its coupling end to friction fit onto the pin, the thus deformed connector element being unable to fit inside the cross section of the sheath.
