  • Publication number: 20250142288
Abstract: A client device associated with a user of a location-based application detects client devices associated with other users which are within proximity of the client device. This detection of other client devices may result in various application actions occurring, such as triggering a multi-user activity between users. Detection of client devices may be performed using personal area network devices of the client devices, such as Bluetooth. Proximity detection can occur when client devices are disconnected from an online system hosting the location-based application with the detection later being reported to the online system by one or both devices.

  • Publication number: 20240075379
Abstract: A game server provides game data of a location-based game to a plurality of client devices based on a first set of one or more game designs. First activity data associated with the location-based game is received from the plurality of client devices based on the first set of one or more game designs. The game server determines whether the first activity data from the plurality of client devices meets a predetermined starting condition associated with a local virtual event. The local virtual event is started for the plurality of client devices in response to determining that the first activity data meets the predetermined starting condition. The game server provides game data based on the local virtual event to the plurality of client devices. The virtual event has a second game design that is different from the first set of one or more game designs.

  • Publication number: 20230334366
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for utilizing predictions of future real-world events to generate actionable decisions. In some implementations, a computer can obtain a plurality of prediction results in association with an event from a machine learning model. The computer can receive from semantic information from a user device. The computer can match one or more prediction results of the plurality of prediction results to the semantic information. The computer can generate one or more actionable outputs by processing the one or more prediction results and the semantic information for the user device. The computer can forward the one or more actionable outputs to the user device, wherein the one or more actionable outputs comprise information that allows a user of the user device to act on in advance of occurrence of the event.

  • Patent number: 8789641
Abstract: A scooter is configured to rapidly dissipate impact loading permitting jumps and safe landings without damaging the scooter. The scooter includes a frame attached to a fork that is further attached to handle bars and a front wheel such that the handle bars can turn the front wheel allowing the scooter to turn. The frame is attached to a swing arm with a suspension system and a rotation bolt such that the suspension system causes the swing arm to rotate about the rotation bolt to rapidly dissipate impact loading. A rear wheel is mechanically coupled to the swing arm that cushions the jumps permits the safe landings without damaging the scooter.
