  • Publication number: 20240016262
Abstract: A magnetic clasp assembly includes a first member and a second member each couplable to an end of a bracelet. The first member may be readily secured or removed from the bracelet by actuating a lever. The second member may be coupled to the first member via a second protrusion on the second member being inserted into a first receiving slot of the first member, and a first protrusion couplable to a second receiving slot of the second member. Magnets may be used to ensure the first and second member remain coupled. By actuating the lever to remove the first member, the article of jewelry with magnetic clasp assembly facilitates the convenient attachment and removal of slider charms and other ornamental accessories from the bracelet. Such slider charms may feature designs representing a user's life achievements and interests.

  • Publication number: 20230118908
Abstract: Systems and methods related to the field of cardiac resuscitation, and in particular to devices for assisting rescuers in performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are described herein. A method for managing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment to a person in need of emergency assistance includes monitoring, with an electronic medical device, a parameter that indicates a quality level of a CPR component being provided to the person by a user; determining, with the electronic medical device, that the parameter indicates that the quality level of CPR being provided is inadequate; and providing, to one or more rescuers of the person, an audible, visual, or tactile indication that a different person should perform the CPR component.

  • Patent number: 10912764
Abstract: The present invention is based on the discovery that certain fermentation products of the marine actinomycete strains CNB392 and CNB476 are effective inhibitors of hyperproliferative mammalian cells. The CNB392 and CNB476 strains lie within the family Micromonosporaceae, and the generic epithet Salinospora has been proposed for this obligate marine group. The reaction products produced by this strain are classified as salinosporamides, and are particularly advantageous in treating neoplastic disorders due to their low molecular weight, low IC50 values, high pharmaceutical potency, and selectivity for cancer cells over fungi.

  • Publication number: 20200200376
Abstract: A lamp that includes a lens, an electrode, and a sensing circuit connected to a light source. The lens is spaced apart from the sensing circuit. The forward-facing surface of the lens has a sensing location. The electrode has a first portion opposite a second portion. The first portion is connected to the sensing circuit. The second portion is positioned alongside a backward facing surface of the lens. The electrode senses an electric field through the lens at the sensing location. The sensing circuit is configured to turn on the light source when the light source is turned off and the electrode senses the electric field. The sensing circuit is configured to turn off the light source when the light source is turned on and the electrode senses the electric field.
