  • Patent number: 10283317
Abstract: A method for TEM sample preparation and analysis that can be used in a FIB-SEM system without re-welds, unloads, user handling of the lamella, or a motorized flip stage. The method allows a dual beam FIB-SEM system with a typical tilt stage to be used to extract a sample to from a substrate, mount the sample onto a TEM sample holder capable of tilting, thin the sample using FIB milling, and rotate the sample so that the sample face is perpendicular to an electron column for STEM imaging.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 15, 2017
Date of Patent: May 7, 2019
    Assignee: FEI Company
Inventors: Paul Keady, Brennan Peterson, Guus Das, Craig Matthew Henry, Larry Dworkin, Jeff Blackwood, Stacey Stone, Michael Schmidt

  • Patent number: 6090324
Abstract: A forming system for constructing stone benches which incorporates a forming tray that has a central support extending therethrough. The central support is temporarily supported at opposite ends and temporary shoring is provided beneath the length of the forming tray. Concrete and stone are placed in the forming tray and allowed to set. Next, the set concrete and stone are removed from the forming tray and support legs are placed under the concrete and stone and they are lowered into final position.

  • Patent number: 5551662
Abstract: A jig having top and bottom collar with the top collar being either smaller than the bottom collar or the same size. The collars are joined by four stakes welded to the bottom collar which are used to level the jig. A third collar, called a centering collar, is attached to the top collar and has a pipe attached to it which extends down into the center of the jig to suspend a second pipe in the exact center of the jig. The centering collar and pipe have a lifting eye attached thereto, so a crane can lift the jig and completed stone post and move it to a new location. The stakes of the jig can be used as a guide to plumb and level stone which can be laid to form a stone post.
