Patent number: 12109112Abstract: A heart valve therapy system including a delivery device and a stented valve. The delivery device includes an outer sheath, an inner shaft, an optional hub assembly, and a plurality of tethers. In a delivery state, a stent frame of the prosthesis is crimped over the inner shaft and maintained in a compressed condition by the outer sheath. The tethers are connected to the stent frame. In a partial deployment state, the outer sheath is at least partially withdrawn, allowing the stent frame to self-expand. Tension in the tethers prevents the stent frame from rapidly expanding and optionally allowing recapture. Upon completion of the stent frame expansion, the tethers are withdrawn.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2020Date of Patent: October 8, 2024Assignee: Medtronic Vascular GalwayInventors: Marian Creaven, Marc Anderson, Kate Corish, Declan Costello, Niall Duffy, Joshua Dwork, John Gallagher, Patrick Griffin, Gavin Kenny, Deirdre McGowan Smyth, John Milroy, Jason Quill, Herinaina Rabarimanantsoa Jamous, Paul Rothstein, Jeffrey Sandstrom, Edmond Sheahan, Frank White

Patent number: 9228700Abstract: LED light tube replaces a fluorescent light mounted in a fluorescent light fixture. Main power is feed only to the first socket end mount of the fluorescent fixture. The LED light tube includes an elongated tubular structure substantially the size and length of the fluorescent light tube and extends between the first and second end mounts of the fixture. Within an end region of the tubular structure and adjacent the first tube end mount, an internal power supply converts the main line power to LED bank power. The tubular structure of the LED light includes an elongated semi-spherical substantially transparent top cover mounted atop a printed circuit board substrate. The substrate supports a plurality of LEDs thereon.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2014Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: LEDS America, Inc.Inventors: Joel C. Westermarck, Paul Kenny

Publication number: 20150094409Abstract: Fiber composites are disclosed that have flame-resistant properties. The fiber composites can contain relatively long fibers having a fiber length of greater than 3 mm. The composites, in one embodiment, can be formed through a pultrusion process to produce continuous structures or pellets having a length of greater than 3 mm. The pellets can then be used to mold articles. In accordance with the present disclosure, the flame retardant composition contains a nitrogen and phosphorus compound, such as a pyrophosphate. The flame retardant is intumescent and can be halogen-free. The flame retardant composition can also be free of any flame suppressant.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 2, 2014Publication date: April 2, 2015Inventor: Paul Kenny

Publication number: 20150003052Abstract: The LED light tube is adapted to replace a fluorescent light tube which is mounted in a fluorescent light tube fixture. These fixtures have first and second socket end mounts and each end mount mechanically accepts a bi-pin or other common connector for the fluorescent light tube. The fluorescent fixture is supplied with a main power line. In the present invention, the main power line may carry 110 to 277 volts. However, the present invention utilizes main power feed only to the first socket end mount of the fluorescent fixture and further maintains an open circuit between the main line power and the second socket end mount. The LED light tube includes an elongated tubular structure substantially the size and length of the fluorescent light tube and extends between the first and second end mounts of the fixture. Within an end region of the tubular structure and adjacent the first tube end mount, an internal power supply converts the main line power to LED bank power.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2014Publication date: January 1, 2015Inventors: Joel C.
