  • Patent number: 11628318
Abstract: A blower assembly for a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) assembly includes: a lower housing; an upper housing connected to the lower housing, such that the upper housing and the lower housing collectively define a first interior cavity; a filter configured to filter ambient air drawn into the blower assembly; and a fan. The upper housing and the filter define a pathway for a flow of air into the first interior cavity. The fan is positioned in the first interior cavity such that, when the fan is activated, ambient air is drawn into the blower assembly and travels along the pathway into the first interior cavity for subsequent delivery out of the blower assembly. The lower housing defines an outlet port for directing breathable air out of the blower assembly for delivery to a user (e.g., via a breathing tube interconnecting a headpiece and the outlet port).

  • Patent number: 10874159
Abstract: A protective helmet includes a shell, which defines a bottom opening and an internal cavity for receiving the wearer's head. The shell further includes a brim with a central opening defined in the brim. An attachment mechanism for securing an accessory to the shell includes one or more openings defined through the brim on either side of the central opening, wherein each of the openings includes a larger diameter portion and a smaller diameter portion, which are separated by a detent. Each opening receives a respective boss of the accessory, which can be selectively advanced from the larger diameter portion to the small diameter portion of the opening. Furthermore, the attachment mechanism includes a slot defined in and along the edge of the shell, with the slot corresponding with the central opening defined in the brim, such that the slot is configured to receive a projection extending from the accessory.

  • Patent number: 8888043
Abstract: A crew bunk system may include a bunk frame assembly and at least two vertically spaced crew berths. Each one of the crew berths may have a lengthwise hinge line dividing the crew berth into a stationary panel and a foldable panel. The stationary panel may be fixedly coupled to the bunk frame assembly. The foldable panel may be hingedly coupled to the stationary panel along the hinge line. The crew bunk system may include at least one connecting member interconnecting the foldable panels such that the foldable panels pivot in unison between a deployed position and a stowed position. The crew bunk system may include a latching mechanism configured to lock the foldable panels in the stowed position.

  • Patent number: 8733352
Abstract: A pulse oxygen system and methods for providing oxygen to a user are disclosed. An oxygen mask coupled to a metering valve is provided to a user. An oxygen prescription delivery amount is determined based on and as a function of a real-time operation condition. A metering valve timing is calculated based on the oxygen prescription delivery amount to obtain a pulse delivery time. A pressure and time regulated flow of the oxygen prescription delivery amount of pulsed oxygen is then dispensed to the oxygen mask for a duration of the pulse delivery time in response to detecting the user breathing through the oxygen mask.

  • Patent number: 6076641
Abstract: A wheeled upright luggage case having oversized wheels for improved rolling movement. The luggage case has a pair of wheels that are oversize in proportion to the body of the case. The oversize wheels are rotatably mounted in fender assemblies disposed on the outsides of the body of the case, so that the oversize wheels do not detract from the cargo capacity of the case. The wheels are mounted to protrude a specified relational distance from the bottom, or the back and the bottom, of the case to permit the case to be rolled while tilted at a wide variety of angles and to easily be pulled up stairs or curbs.
