  • Patent number: 6764242
Abstract: A binder assembly and manufacturing process thereof includes a front cover, a back cover, a spine, and openings in the assembly for the purpose of placing windows inside the front cover and spine. The front cover, back cover and spine define the space for holding loose-leaf pages. The openings in the front cover and spine define the space for placing loose papers into the front cover and spine. Pockets are included on the inside of the binder assembly for securing additional loose-leaf papers. Manufacturing processes of the binder assembly include methods in which the same material is used for all components and in which different materials are used to manufacture various components in the same process.

  • Patent number: 6234701
Abstract: An improved binder formed of two cover portions made of rigid material joined together with a living hinge is disclosed. A closure flap with a second living hinge joins the free ends of the cover opposite the binder spine. An improved method of attaching a pocket to the binder is also disclosed. The use of such a technique on rigid polypropylene material allows roll feeding of materials, eliminates the need for a chipboard, allows existing printing and sealing machinery to be employed in the manufacture of the binder, and provides improved durability and aesthetics at a low cost. One cover portion may be adapted with number design features to properly align one cover portion relative to the other cover portion. A pocket formed of rigid material may also be coupled to one of the cover portions.

  • Patent number: 5997112
Abstract: A storage case has a plurality of walls surrounding an internal compartment, a door provided in a front wall for providing access to the internal compartment, a top panel for covering the internal compartment, and a removable table top assembly resting on the top panel. The table top assembly has a plurality of table top panels that are removably coupled together to form the table top assembly, and which are adapted to be stored in the internal compartment. The storage case further includes a base panel between the plurality of walls, and a set of wheels provided adjacent the base panel. A shelf may be provided in the internal compartment when the storage case is used as a combined storage cabinet and table top. The storage case is especially adapted for use in storing components are that used to assemble a modular display system.
