  • Patent number: 10252179
Abstract: A system for winding a screen vertically is provided. The system can include a tube and a smoothing edge feature, such as a tensioning rod. The tube can rotate about a vertical axis and draw the screen over the smoothing edge feature to cause the screen to wind up onto the tube that is positioned vertically.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 9, 2013
Date of Patent: April 9, 2019
    Assignee: IMAX CORPORATION
Inventors: Waldemar Bazydlo, Paul Kucera, George Eric Jacques, Lionel Robert Kilburn

  • Patent number: 8979970
Abstract: Fertilizer granules and methods of producing fertilizer granules. The fertilizer granules are formed from a fertilizer composition, such as a phosphate fertilizer, includes a fibrous material for the purpose of increasing the granule strength preventing or reducing attrition or dusting formation during storage, transport, and/or handling of the fertilizer. Dust formation can be reduced fifty percent or more. The base fertilizer composition can include a phosphate fertilizer, such as monoammonium phosphate (MAP) or diammonium phosphate (DAP), and optionally one or more micronutrients or secondary nutrients, such as elemental sulfur. The fibrous material is pulp or paper sludge, for example.

  • Patent number: 8955258
Abstract: A transportable large capacity theatre includes a primary theatre body with laterally spaced apart first and second long sides, opposing first and second ends attached to the long sides, and a roof over the long sides and ends, the body defining an enclosed interior chamber. The roof, the long sides and the ends may be defined by a plurality of laterally extending inflated tubes, and the long sides of the primary theatre body may have a substantially vertical orientation relative to a surface on which theatre may be supported for at least a major portion of the height of the respective long sides. The theatre further includes a seating section, a display screen positioned in the interior of the primary theatre body and viewable by a viewer seated in the seating section, and a projection system in the interior of the primary theatre body and in communication with the screen.

  • Publication number: 20140255287
Abstract: A process and system for producing phosphoric acid. Phosphate rock is dissolved in phosphoric acid in a reaction vessel to form a slurry. The slurry is then reacted in a first stage of crystallization with sulfuric acid to produce calcium sulfate hemihydrate and phosphoric acid. The product acid is separated from the hemihydrates via filtration, and the filter cake is then reacted, in a second crystallization step, with additional sulfuric acid to produce dihydrate calcium sulfate (gypsum) and recovery solution. The gypsum is separated from the recovery solution via filtration and removed as a by-product. The recovery solution is recycled back to the transformation tank and to the hemihydrate filtration step. A feed acid tank combines wash solution, recovery solution and product acid. Once adjusted to a target P2O5 concentration, it is fed to the initial reactor vessel to dissolve the phosphate ore.

  • Patent number: 5806953
Abstract: A 3-D film projection apparatus includes two projectors that are disposed side-by-side in closely adjacent positions during projection. Each projector is carried by a transporter so that it can be moved to a retracted position rearwardly and laterally outwardly with respect to the other projector for providing access to the projector for set up and maintenance. Preferably, the transporters are motorized and the apparatus includes film guide means for maintaining a film path between each projector and an associated reel unit during transportation of the projector between its projection position and its retracted position.
