  • Publication number: 20250256643
Abstract: A vehicle alert system for instructing observers as to movement of the vehicle. A scoop adheres against an inside surface of a windshield and supports a plurality of illuminating elements communicating with a PCBA, along with each of an accelerometer, on board diagnostic system and a power supply. In response to a determined acceleration of the structure, the accelerometer inputs a signal to the PCBA representative of the vehicle movement and the PCBA in turn provides an output signal causing illuminating elements to generate a visual output corresponding to said input signal and further representative of a decelerating or braking condition of the vehicle. An ambient light sensor (ALS) can be incorporated into the assembly for managing lighting/LED intensity based upon exterior lighting conditions.

  • Publication number: 20250233818
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing L4S support with regard to non-3GPP untrusted/trusted accesses in which a non-3GPP access point, e.g., a WLAN AP or a TNAP, is enabled to monitor for uplink congestion with regard to L4S uplink data traffic flows at the non-3GPP AP, detect congestion, and perform explicit congestion notification (ECN) markings is described. In some embodiments, an innermost IP header field corresponding to an uplink L4S data packet, which typically conveys ECN information, in unavailable to the non-3GPP AP, due to IPsec encapsulation. The non-3GPP AP indicates detected congestion, at the non-3GPP AP, in an uplink (UL) traffic flow via setting bits in an outer IP header ECN field. The AP detected UL congestion information is communicated via the outer IP header ECN field to a core network interface device, e.g., a N3IWF or TNGF, and subsequently communicated to the inner-most IP header field.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing L4S support with regard to non-3GPP untrusted/trusted accesses in which a non-3GPP access point, e.g., a WLAN AP or a TNAP, is enabled to monitor for downlink congestion with regard to L4S downlink data traffic flows at the non-3GPP AP, detect congestion and perform explicit congestion notification (ECN) markings are described. In some embodiments an innermost IP header field corresponding to a downlink L4S data packet, which typically conveys ECN information, in unavailable to the non-3GPP AP, due to IPsec encapsulation. The non-3GPP AP indicates detected congestion, at the non-3GPP AP, in an DL traffic flow via setting bits in an outer IP header ECN field. The AP detected DL congestion information is communicated via the outer IP header ECN field to a destination UE or to a core network interface device, e.g., a N3IWF or TNGF.

  • Publication number: 20250234244
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing L4S support with regard to non-3GPP untrusted/trusted accesses in which a user equipment (UE) is enabled to monitor for uplink and/or downlink congestion with regard to L4S uplink data traffic flows at the UE, detect congestion, and perform explicit congestion notification (ECN) markings or communicate congestion information to perform ECN marking to another device are described. In some embodiments, the UE device indicates detected congestion, at the UE, in an uplink (UL) traffic flow via performing ECN marking of an innermost IP header ECN field. In some other embodiments, the UE device communicates detected congestion information, via a GRE message to a core network interface device, which communicates, via GTP-U, the detected congestion information to a UPF, which then uses the received UE detected congestion information to performs ECN marking in the innermost IP header of an uplink data packet.

  • Publication number: 20250227070
Abstract: A residential gateway (RG), e.g., a 5G-RG, indicates its support for ECN marking for L4S in uplink and/or downlink via a PDU Session Request message, e.g., a PDU Session Establishment Request message, communicated from the RG via a wireline access gateway function (W-AGF) to a core network, e.g., a 5GC. The indication, in some embodiments, is provided in either: a Session Management (SM) capability field, e.g., a 5GSM capability field, or as a new indication, which is included as part of a N1 SM container. A RG may, and sometimes does, determine congestion in its buffers/queues and perform ECN marking and report if traffic congestion is being experienced within its own buffers/queues for uplink and/or downlink traffic. In some such embodiments, both an RG and a W-AGF can, and sometimes do, perform ECN marking for L4S simultaneously in both directions (i.e. uplink and downlink).

  • Publication number: 20250227071
Abstract: A database, e.g. a unified data repository (UDR) which can be accessed by a unified data management (UDM), stores residential gateway (RG) subscription information for each of plurality of RGs. The stored RG subscription information, corresponding to a RG includes information, e.g. 5G-RG L4S information, indicating whether or not the RG is allowed/capable to perform ECN marking. A session management function (SMF) retrieves, e.g., via a UDM, the RG information indicating whether or not the RG is allowed/capable to perform ECN marking and uses the retrieved information to decide whether or not to enable the RG to perform ECN marking for L4S and/or provide congestion information as part of QoS monitoring and/or to select resources including a policy control function (PCF) for supporting a PDU communications session.

  • Patent number: 12349662
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a bird feeder moveable from a first position to a second position. The bird feeder is preferably comprised of a seed tube for holding a substance, a seed tray having openings to receive and provide access to the substance, a shroud surrounding and protecting both the seed tube and seed tray and a cover secured to an upper end of the shroud. The bird feeder is also preferably comprised of a positioning mechanism to move the bird feeder from the first position, where access to the substance is provided, and the second position, where access to the substance is prevented.

  • Patent number: 12342796
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an adjustable spring system, which is comprised of a central rod positioned partially within a member. A spring is positioned over the central rod, confined in the area in between the lower cap and the member. The member is attached to and capped by an end cap, and the member is threaded onto the central rod. As such, rotation of the end cap or the member directly correspondingly rotates the member, which moves up or down along the length of the central rod. When the adjustable spring system is installed within a bird feeder, it allows an operator to choose the amount of compression of the spring, which in turn affects the ability of the central rod to move with respect to the seed tray.

  • Publication number: 20250203688
Abstract: The standards organization 3GPP is exploring new small data delivery techniques for machine-type communications (MTC). It is recognized herein that existing approaches leave the “small data” decision to the service capability server (SCS) for downlink data and to the user equipment (UE) for uplink data. A user equipment (UE) or the core network can identify the services (or flows) that should be characterized as Small Data, and can make decisions as to when to employ optimized Small Data procedures.

  • Patent number: 12326720
Abstract: Data acquired by numerous wireless sensors in a large industrial setting is communicated to the operations center via nodes in defined geographic cells where the signals from the sensors may be depowered to naturally attenuate below the perception of most other receiving nodes in the industrial system. It would be optimal that signals would attenuate sufficiently such that most signals in a cell are not discernible to receiving nodes in adjacent cells, but some sensors near the boundary of a cell will probably have to be set at sufficient power that the nearest adjacent receiving cell would necessarily perceive the signal. Data rejection protocols would exclude data from outside a cell and the advantage of the invention is that it minimizes the volume of errant signals leading to more reliable and robust data for operators.

  • Publication number: 20250180628
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for verifying the integrity and authenticity of a printed circuit board, including associated components and packaging. The method is based on analyzing the power integrity of the power distribution network of the printed circuit board by measuring the S-parameter for the printed circuit board. Any tampering or counterfeiting can be determined by comparison of the S-parameter data or signature to a known authentic signature.
