  • Publication number: 20240141244
Abstract: Fuel additive compositions having at least one acylated detergent, at least one Mannich detergent, and at least one polyether and/or polyetheramine. The acylated detergent may be the reaction product of a hydrocarbyl-substituted acylating agent and a nitrogen containing compound having at least one amino group, that may optionally be quaternizable, and at least one oxygen or nitrogen atom capable of reacting with the hydrocarbyl-substituted acylating agent. The compositions are useful for reducing the formation of carbonaceous deposits and/or cleaning carbonaceous deposits in an engine, such as a gasoline direct injection engine.

  • Patent number: 5745987
Abstract: A method of joining a metal heat sink pallet to a circuit board by electroplating a layer of solder on the mounting surface of the pallet, placing and holding the circuit board metal circuit paths firmly against the plated mounting surface of the pallet and heating the pallet until the solder melts and alloys with the circuit paths. A nitrogen gas bath is used to inhibit oxidation during heating and alloying and a flux is used to promote alloying. A bonding fixture accurately positions the circuit board with respect to the pallet and applies pressure in circuit path areas of interest during heating, alloying and cooling to accurately position the circuit board on the pallet and to promote a superior mechanical and electrical bond between the circuit paths and the pallet.

  • Patent number: 5394125
Abstract: A microwave cavity closure structure encloses an upper splitter cavity bounded at its top and bottom by, respectively, a rigid metal plate and a flexible sheet metal dish and (b) a lower combiner cavity bounded at its top and bottom by another such dish and another lower such plate. Each such cavity has a central region occupied by a raised circular boss, and the lower plate bounding the bottom cavity mounts, outward of the central boss, two concentric annular sheet metal rings each having a flat top and peripheral flanges extending from the margins of that top down into annular grooves in the lower plate. One or more rings of dielectric posts are disposed in each cavity radially between the central boss therein and the cavity periphery to vertically space at the ring's location the plate and dish of the cavity by a distance determined by the posts, while concurrently permitting the dish to be flexed in the cavity's central region for cavity tuning purposes.

  • Patent number: 5159290
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed in which a ring of microwave amplifiers are spaced around the top of a cavity closure structure containing upper and lower splitter and combiner cavities. The inputs and outputs of the amplifiers are connected by, respectively, input and output coaxial couplers to points in, respectively, the splitter and combiner cavities which are spaced radially outward of, and equiangularly around the centers of these cavities. In operation, input microwaves are distributed by the splitter cavity and input couplers to the amplifiers to be amplified by them in parallel, and the several microwave outputs of the amplifies are merged together by the output couplers and combiner cavity to provide a single amplified output. On the upper and lower sides of the splitter and combiner cavities are rigid metal plates with flat surfaces facing towards these cavities, and on the lower and upper sides of the splitter and combiner cavities are sheet metal dishes.
