  • Patent number: 8741139
Abstract: The present device is a detachable core for use with a cylindrical filter cartridge. The core includes a wire frame including at least two vertical struts oriented along a longitudinal direction. The wire frame includes an upper ring and a lower ring mounted to the distal ends of the vertical struts and further includes an upper flange and a lower flange mounted to the upper and lower rings respectively, wherein the lower flange is detachably mounted to the lower ring. Preferably the lower ring includes a gap in the lower ring to enable resilient compression of the ring by squeezing the lower ring in a radial inward direction prior to engagement with the lower flange. Preferably the cartridge filter includes elastomeric end caps and the cooperating rings and flanges are non-circular such that the elastomeric end caps conforms to the non-circular shape of the upper and lower flanges.

  • Patent number: 5934050
Abstract: A cutting machine includes a cutting mechanism, an operating device and a carrying beam connected to the cutting mechanism by an articulation. The operating device includes a retractable stop which limits the upwards pivoting of the carrying beam about a longitudinal axis of the articulation when the cutting mechanism is extending in a windrowing position and which is retracted to allow the cutting mechanism to be placed in a transport position. The retractable stop is set in place and retracted automatically by a control mechanism when the cutting mechanism is brought from a work position or from the windrowing position into the transport position.

  • Patent number: 5896733
Abstract: A cutting machine including a cutting mechanism which can occupy at least one work position and one set-down position; a hitching structure; a carrying beam connected on the one hand to the hitching structure by a first articulation and on the other hand to the cutting mechanism by a second articulation; a lightening device including an elastically deformable element, and a locking device intended to block the first and second articulations. In the set-down position, the hitching structure and the carrying beam are held by the elastically deformable element and the first and second articulations are locked.

  • Patent number: 5660032
Abstract: An agricultural machine has a fixed structure, a retractable assembly connected to the fixed structure by at least one joint such that said retractable assembly can move to at least one locking position, and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes (i) at least one stop element mounted for movement with one of the fixed structure and retractable assembly and cooperable with the other of the fixed structure and the retractable assembly to lock the retractable assembly in one locking position; (ii) at least one elastic element cooperating with the at least one stop element to bias the at least one stop element into a stop element lock position in cooperation with the other of the fixed structure and the retractable assembly so as to lock the retractable assembly in the locking position. The stop element is enclosed in the stop lock position such that the stop element can be moved from the said stop lock position only by a special tool.

  • Patent number: 4483840
Abstract: The invention relates to synthetic carbonaceous granules having high mechanical characteristics and, more particularly, the granules produced from anthracite fines. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of these granules. These granules are produced by agglomeration of fines to the form of pellets, superficial pre-baking of these pellets by an oxidizing gas at a temperature of between 650.degree. and 1000.degree. C. for a few minutes, followed by calcination at a high temperature and, finally, by crushing permitting the desired granulometry to be obtained. The synthetic carbonaceous granules, according to the invention, are used for all types of application and, in particular, for the manufacture of all types of carbonaceous paste, electrodes and carbonaceous blocks for the linings of furnaces or electrolysis cells.

  • Patent number: 4213256
Abstract: A snow shoe, useful also in sand, comprises a flat member which is bisymmetric in the sense that its upper and lower sides are mirror images of each other. A pair of such snow shoes thus comprises two identical members disposed in mirror image relationship. The portion that supports the foot is displaced toward the inner side of the snow shoe, and the laterally outer portion comprises an open gridwork supported by a frame, the whole being of molded plastic construction. The portion that supports the foot is provided with holes therethrough adjacent the margins of the foot or shoe of the user; and a single lace can be inserted through these holes to provide front and rear bindings for the foot or shoe.
