    Abstract: A racket frame for ball games, such as a tennis racket frame, is made out of a length of material shaped into a loop to form a generally round head and two parallel longitudinal branches forming a portion of a racket handle. The length of material comprises a hollow beam having a cavity of generally rectangular cross-section. The cavity is bounded by flanges and webs of the beam which are shaped so as receive and cooperate with additional elements. The frame has a central bow having a longitudinal internal channel in communication with the internal cavity of the length of material and molded material extends through the cavity of the beam and into the channel of the central bow. The racket frame possesses good mechanical qualities and results in satisfactory playing performance.
