  • Patent number: 10940232
Abstract: An adhesive composition is intended to provide the attaching to human skin, comprising a continuous phase and a discontinuous phase of hydrocolloids, with the continuous phase comprising by weight, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition: (i) 1 to 12% by weight of a sequenced polymer of the styrene-isoprene-styrene or styrene-butadiene-styrene type, (ii) (a) 1 to 15% of a polymer of the elastomer butyl type, possibly as a mixture with up to 25% by weight of a polymer of the polyisobutylene type, or (b) more than 10% to 30% of a polymer of the polyisobutylene type, free of polymer of the elastomer butyl type, (iii) 1 to less than 10% of a polymer of the ethylene vinyl acetate type, with the sum of these three types of polymers representing from 10 to 40%.

  • Publication number: 20090076186
Abstract: An adhesive composition containing 55 to 75% of a continuous phase and 25 to 45% of a discontinuous phase constituted of hydrophilic polymers in the form of hydrocolloids, the continuous phase containing 5 to 10% of a textured copolymer constituted of a styrene-isoprene-styrene or styrene-butadiene-styrene sequence copolymer having a majority of at least triple sequences, more than 22% of a tackifying agent, and 10 to 30% of a plasticizer, these percentages being indicated with regard to the whole of the composition. The tackifying agent is a mixture of tackifying agents that contain a majority of high-activity tackifying agents based on terpene resins, and a significant quantity of a tackifying agent with a low activity of adhesiveness but having reinforcing properties. At least half of the tackifying agent is constituted of a high-activity tackifying agent based on terpene resin such as a terpene-styrene polyterpene resin.

  • Publication number: 20090069764
Abstract: A connector for a stoma bag, of the two-piece type, fixed by gluing includes a support equipped with a bracket for fixing to the skin of a patient and with a gluing channel, and a bag provided with a gluing channel that carries an adhesive. The adhesive in the gluing channel of the bag is a layer of a structural adhesive having a thickness of at least 0.6 mm, which forms an elastomeric adhesive composition. The adhesive of the structural adhesive layer contains a three-sequence copolymer, such as a styrene-isoprene-styrene copolymer. In the channel of the bag, its surface carrying the adhesive has undergone a treatment to increase adherence, such as a treatment to increase the surface roughness. The connector can include a member for firstly positioning the channel of the bag relative to the channel of the support. The connector applies also to colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy bags.

  • Publication number: 20040133136
Abstract: The invention consists in a film for fixing an appliance, in particular for medical use, on an external portion of a living body, the film being coated on a first face in an adhesive layer for fixing it to the external portion, and being fixed on its other face to the appliance. In the invention, said first face presents recesses regularly distributed thereover so as to constitute a locally-discontinuous adhesion interface between the film and the adhesive layer. The invention is particularly applicable to fixing a bag for collecting physiological effluent to the abdomen of a patient who has been subjected to a stoma operation.
