  • Publication number: 20050038746
Abstract: A method of associating physical cheques with cheque image data includes steps of receiving physical cheques from a self-service terminal at which the physical cheques were previously deposited, lifting identification data associated with the physical cheques, and retrieving at least some of the previous remotely-captured cheque image data based upon the identification data to associate the retrieved cheque image data with the physical cheques. • Publication number: 20050038748
Abstract: A consolidation server consolidates cheque image data from a plurality of self-service terminals. The consolidation server receives cheque image data from each of the plurality of terminals. The cheque image data received from the plurality of terminals is staged in a data storage medium. Cheque image data associated with at least one of the plurality of terminals is consolidated when a trigger event occurs. The consolidated cheque image data is sent to an image-based cheque processing system for further processing. The plurality of self-service terminals may comprise a plurality of automated teller machines. The plurality of automated teller machines may comprise a plurality of cheque depositing automated teller machines.

  • Publication number: 20050035191
Abstract: Deposit transaction data associated with a cheque deposited at an automated teller machine (ATM) is processed to determine if the deposited cheque is acceptable. Deposit transaction data relating to the deposited cheque is received from an ATM switch. A determination is made as to whether the deposited cheque is acceptable based upon the transaction data. A flag is set and a risk score is assigned when the deposited cheque is determined to be unacceptable. A second source file is created using set flags and assigned risk scores, and then sent to a data server. The second source file is merged with associated deposit data retrieved from memory at the data server. The merged file is sent to a deposit review processor and a deposit review workstation. The deposit review processor determines if any deposited item needs to be reviewed by a human operator or outsorted based upon data contained in the merged file.
