  • Patent number: 6102766
Abstract: A toy building set comprises building elements (11, 21, 22) of a first type with coupling studs (10, 20) arranged in a two-dimensional periodical pattern with the coupling studs (10, 20) disposed in rows in two main directions perpendicular to each other in such a manner that the coupling studs (10, 20) also form diagonal rows in diagonal directions relative to the main directions, whereby neighboring diagonal rows are separated by a space having a width (d) wider than zero, and building elements (11, 21, 22) of a second type for interconnecting with building elements (11, 21, 22) of the first type, said building elements (11, 21, 22) of the second type having pairs of parallel coupling walls (12, 23, 24) which define cavities with coupling means for receiving coupling studs (10, 20) on building elements of the first type in a releasable engagement in such a manner that the coupling walls (12, 23, 24) are arranged in main directions between rows of coupling studs, wherein the building set further comprises bu

  • Patent number: 5857892
Abstract: A toy element composed of a rolling body having a body surface, with at least four apertures provided in the body surface, and at least two movable members. Each of the members consists of a first and a second oppositely arranged element interconnected by a rigid rod. The first and second elements are aligned with the apertures of the body surface. Each of the members is movable within the rolling body between a first position where the first element is significantly protruding from the rolling body surface while the second element is less protruding from the rolling body surface, and a second position where the second element is substantially protruding from the rolling body surface while the first element is less protruding from the rolling body surface. Each member has a center line, and the center lines of all of the members intersect at a common intersection point.

  • Patent number: 5846113
Abstract: The invention relates to a toy building element (1,8) for use in a toy building element system comprising a number of toy building elements with coupling studs for coupling with other toy building elements with complementary coupling sockets, the coupling studs being arranged in a regular pattern with a specific modular distance relative to each other. The toy building element is characterized in that in its free state at least some of the coupling studs of the toy building element are shifted relative to the modular distance, the mutual position of the coupling studs of the toy building element being elastically changeable at least to a mutual position corresponding to the modular distance. The invention also relates to a toy building set having such a toy building element.
