  • Patent number: 5652779
Abstract: A film positioning system for dental X-ray and digital radiography procedures including a number of film or digital sensor carriers (bite wing, anterior, etc) each including a film or sensor holder on one end and an extending attachment rod, and an X-ray tube aiming device including an attachment rod holder, the attachment rod and the attachment rod holder keyed to correctly align the film holder with respect to an X-ray cone or tube. One example includes a non-equilateral pentagon shaped rod holder receptacle and a non-equilateral pentagon shaped attachment rod.

  • Patent number: 4588621
Abstract: The invention relates to a composite container body wherein the inner surface, and optionally the outer surface and/or the edges, of said body are covered with a multi-layer complex comprising a metallic film to which is adhered a layer of an adhesive such as at least one copolymer obtained by polymerization of a monoolefin and grafting with a monoethylenic carboxylic acid, optionally in admixture with a second compound selected, for example, from the group consisting of low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyisobutylene, polystyrene, polyesters, copolymers of ethylene and acrylic acid, and paraffins and waxes derived from the refining of crude petroleum.

  • Patent number: 4506179
Abstract: A universally mountable motor comprises an armature and first and second bearing brackets fitted to the armature at opposite faces thereof respectively and spanning a bore formed therein. A rotor is fitted in the bore and is supported to rotate in the bore by bearings mounted in the bearing brackets. The bearing brackets are secured to the armature by bolts, each of which has a threaded end which projects from one of the brackets. The first bracket is formed with wings which extend parallel to one another on opposite sides of the axis of rotation of the rotor and are formed each with at least one undercut slot. A screw can be fitted in the slot with a threaded portion projecting from the bracket to receive a stand-off.

  • Patent number: 4426593
Abstract: A universally mountable motor comprises an armature having first and second opposite faces and defining a cylindrical bore. First and second bearing brackets which span the bore are secured to the armature at the first and second faces respectively. Bearings mounted in the brackets define a common axis of rotation which is coaxial with the bore. A rotor is fitted in the bore and is supported by the bearings to rotate in the bore. The first bracket is formed with wings which extend over the first face of the armature on opposite sides of the axis of rotation. Each wing is formed with an elongate retaining slot defining a central axis and having a first region whereby a mounting member can be removably inserted into the slot and at least first and second additional regions which are spaced apart along the central axis of the slot and into which the mounting member can be selectively displaced from the first region to be captively retained in one of the additional regions.
