The access panel is movable between a first position and a second position, the first position restricting access to the opening of the housing and permitting a cooperating high-voltage connector to engage the high-voltage connector adjacent the opening and the second position permitting access to the opening of the housing and restricting a cooperating high-voltage connecter from engaging the high-voltage connector adjacent the opening.

The planetary gear set includes a ring gear, a sun gear, and a planet carrier with a plurality of planets. The housing is fixed to the planet carrier, the at least one spider gear is disposed in the housing, an electric motor output is fixed to the ring gear, and the first axle shaft extends from the spider gear through the electric motor. In an example embodiment, the differential includes a shaft extending through the housing orthogonal to the first axle shaft. The at least one spider gear is four spider gears, a first pair of spider gears is arranged on the shaft, and a third spider gear is drivingly engaged with the first pair of spider gears and the first axle shaft.
