    Abstract: An elastically deformable cotyloidal prosthesis including a hollow hemispherical cap which includes an outer surface including portions which are deformable while the inner surface thereof is rigid and which further includes a plastic insert having a hemispherical cavity which communicates with an outer beveled edge defining a cylindrical opening thereto. The insert is rotatably adjustable and securable relative to the inner surface of the cap.
