  • Publication number: 20250022388
Abstract: A security seal to be attached to an object. The security seal includes a receptacle, a unique identifier, a tip adapted to be housed in the receptacle and a custody aperture having a dimension adapted to house a portion of a second security seal and adapted to remain intact after the security seal is removed from attachment to the object. In use, a chain of custody record for security seals is provided including securing a first security seal to an object, removing the first security seal from the object, threading a second security seal through a custody aperture in the removed first security seal and securing the second security seal to the object such that the first and second security seals are secured together.

  • Patent number: 9163418
Abstract: A removable safety barrier for a construction site pit, in which piles support the sides of the pit, and having a plurality of upright barrier posts at spaced intervals, supported on the piles, the barrier posts extending below grade level around the edge of the construction pit and also above grade level; a plurality of retention panels, shaped to fit between adjacent posts; personal barrier supports secured to the barrier posts above grade level; and personal barrier members supported in the supports, extending substantially transversely between the upright barrier posts, and the retention panels being located below grade level extending between the barrier posts.

  • Publication number: 20140353565
Abstract: A combined pedestrian and vehicle barrier for a construction site and having upright post members spaced apart, the members having retention means, vehicle barrier members of predetermined length and height and defining support means at each end, engagable with said retention means on the posts, an intermediate fence rail extending between the posts adjacent to the upper extremity of the vehicle barrier members, and, personal fence panels located between the posts, and extending above the intermediate fence rails.

  • Publication number: 20050001213
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating both segmented and unsegmented radiation detectors which can operate at room temperature. The devices include a metal contact layer, and an n-type blocking contact formed from a thin layer of amorphous semiconductor. In one embodiment the material beneath the n-type contact is n-type material, such as lithium compensated silicon that forms the active region of the device. The active layer has been compensated to a degree at which the device may be fully depleted at low bias voltages. A p-type blocking contact layer, or a p-type donor material can be formed beneath a second metal contact layer to complete the device structure. When the contacts to the device are segmented, the device is capable of position sensitive detection and spectroscopy of ionizing radiation, such as photons, electrons, and ions.

  • Patent number: 5530249
Abstract: An ionization detector electrode and signal subtraction apparatus and method provides at least one first conductive trace formed onto the first surface of an ionization detector. The first surface opposes a second surface of the ionization detector. At least one second conductive trace is also formed on the first surface of the ionization detector in a substantially interlaced and symmetrical pattern with the at least one first conductive trace. Both of the traces are held at a voltage potential of a first polarity type. By forming the traces in a substantially interlaced and symmetric pattern, signals generated by a charge carrier are substantially of equal strength with respect to both of the traces. The only significant difference in measured signal strength occurs when the charge carrier moves to within close proximity of the traces and is received at the collecting trace.
